Blood & Plunder: Scots VS Natives After Action Report
December 6, 2018 by dignity
Kai and Mike from Firelock Games join Justin to discuss their last game of Blood & Plunder playing Scots VS Natives.
Kai's aggressive playstyle may have worked for previous games but here we see how the Natives required a different approach to be wielded effectively against the might of the trained Scottish militia.
Have you had more success with the Native faction?
love the natives very Inca looking. an their not proper scots no fitba shirts on any of them.?
Guess is that models for the Scots, like the Danish or Swedish Militia are in the pipeline but it is a long pipeline for the smaller fractions
Many models are made to represent various units. The EU Soldiers for example represent every factions soldiers.
Some things like Spanish Militia are used to represent up to 4 different units.
I guess the would end up having to release an insane number of figures to acurately represent every possible thing.
I think if the Scots were abit further behind, it may have been a bit more interesting. still deciding factions, unaligned and either french or dutch.
Advantage of the game is that a lot of units can be used for several things – so if you go Dutch and French, you would have units for Unaligned as well
French and English are probably the best combo. Most English stuff can be used by the French, most French stuff by the English and combined they make a large Unaligned force too, can’t go wrong 🙂
I think if the attack had been from land, rather than sea, the natives might have had a bit more of a chance, with more opportunities to skirmish. Or from more than one direction, to split the Scots’ line
