Battletech Mercenaries! NEW Big Mechs For Hire In Resurgent Wargame & Undead Unearthed #OTTWeekender
March 31, 2023 by avernos
It's OTT Weekender time! This week, Warren gets into the Spring Clean Challenge by unearthing a cemetery's worth of undead fiends for gaming with his kids and the Battletech Mercenaries provide some big guns and more for the hard Sci-Fi tabletop wargame.
With the resurgence of Battletech on the tabletop a new generation is getting on board with this classic game of giant stompy battle bots and with the mercenaries Kickstarter now running more suits, tanks, and flyers are being added to the tabletop. Combined arms are coming to the fore and the game is expanding in scope and player base. Are you interested in giving it a go? Warren has decided to dust off some skellybobs for the SCC 2023 and what started as a few minis for the occasional RPG has become an army of the damned.

No Weekender next week!(, well that is for future Crispin to worry about. For now its Hookers and lollypops this week and the greatest movie ever made!
Thank goodness it’s the Weekender… ???????????????
Nice. The weekend starts now!
Watch the Weekender and glue together my Baneblade.
Great.
Yay weekender time folk’s.
Lol Warzan is after a skeleton’s army.
Thanks for the show. Hoping to pick up Blood and Valor End of Empires at HISTORICON in July.
Happy Weekender to everyone. It’s starting to feel like spring in the wales. How so? The rain is falling from the left not straight down….I’ve been holding off buying into the new warlord Push of Pike as I’m a sucker for the new glow of a lovely looking release. I’m now torn between that and committing to blood and valour through End of Empires. I also see I’m going to have to visit the border wars as now little to nothing of the period outside the mainland. Have a few quiet days ahead so looking forward to adding some paint… Read more »
B4 was Data’s other brother.
Welcome to the weekend everyone!
I need more coffee… or watch it tomorrow… so tired
Fab show guy’s, have fun at the show.
Thanks for thinking about us Justin
Great show as always.. I’m pretty tempted by those Gallowglass but I really need to get back to painting first as I’ve not done anything since November desperately need some motivation at the moment. I’ll keep a lookout for you guys at Salute.
Would be great to say hi 🙂
Funfairs. So expensive these days though.
Warren Highland rebels has a siege tower ( https://www.beastsofwar.com/historical/the-highlands-rebel-under-decoquest-workshop/)
Very much looking forward to Salute this year.
@warzan for your siege tower, one idea could be to glue leg or arm bones from the skellys at irregular intervals where each level meets the next so it looks like they are held together by bone stitches
No weekender!? ? We’ll manage, have fun looking for eggs laid by a rabbit…
Sounds like the start of a Moonstone scenario
Good show, figures look nice @warzan , is John going to be able to earn after he has paid his Battletech pledge.
Aargh, spring cleaning, it scares me, so much dust, so many unfinished projects
It’s kind of ironic that during the spring cleaning challenge the prize is more stuff to paint. Not that I’m complaining of course.
You could use the vouchers to buy paint instead…
Great Show. The Battletech KS is well worth the price if you are getting in.
How a great weekend guys
Great show guys, thanks for sharing your project @warzan
I’ve not posted my SCC entry yet, though I’ve started working on it… it’ll be a proper spring clean if I get it finished.
I am intrigued!
What no weekender next week? What about us poor sods with no life (ando choclate eggs either!)?
