We're talking with Konrad and Karl from Wargamer Games Studio about their upcoming game Anno Domini: 1666 which has just opened for funding on Kickstarter today!
Anno Domini: 1666 is a tactical miniatures game which takes place in a world of political intrigue, sword-play, magic, fantastical creatures...
...and several competing factions all vying for power in 17th century Vienna.
Are you as excited for musketeers as I am?

Wow, I was not expecting to like the concept of this when I clicked the link. But this looks right up my alley.
So who at BoW is which Musketeer? @dracs = D’Artangian, Warren = Porthos? So who’s Argos and who’s Aramis? . . Also I know Mephistopheles is a fictional character from the time, but that concept art of him makes me think of the version of him in the anime Blue Exorsist, Mephisto. 😉 . . Side note but for historical context here’s what was happening over in Britain during 1666: 1 February – royal court returns to London as the Great Plague of London subsides. 1–4 June (11–14 June New Style) – Second Anglo-Dutch War : Four Days’ Battle: The… Read more »
It’s a great concept. I’d love to see a demo.
Looks very cool. I like dice in skirmish games, although I’m open to alternative mechanics… However the miniatures look fantastic and the setting sounds really interesting.
Looks cheeky!
Nice minis. The draft KS page they had up makes this a no go for me. Base game, ‘free’ miniature if you pledge in first 24 hours, and a series of expansions you have to pay extra for rather than being unlocked. So the base game is really an incomplete bait to get you in as they know you’ll pledge for all the expansions at $30 a go out of FOMO.
I dislike this kind of KS.
I like the look of this. I’ve not really played a game where they’ve completely lost the dice in favour of cards. I’m very intrigued, already backed now as I think its worth it just for the minis. I’m sure the game will be awesome, any chance of a future lets play?
I have jumped-in on this; it looks very promising.
A really impressive and tempting product. ticks a lot of boxes for me this one. beautifully presented with real and proper miniatures that are aimed at the miniatures wargamer. the game boards are right up my street , a larger grid with plenty of scope for movement and maneuvers. too many games these days have too small a grid for me. i know they do so to keep the game from slowing down but i’m happy to see the game slow a little for a little extra scope. some really nice touches in there as well like the period card… Read more »
