In this quirky world, Albedo Combat Patrol is the 28mm miniatures game based on the unique comic book art of Steve Gallacci’s Albedo Anthropomorphics. Play as Foxes, Doggos, Cats or Rabbits in this wildly exciting skirmish. The series is sophisticated and thoughtful, blending hard science and practical military weaponry with cute furry creatures.
There are no blasters or zap guns, no clone armies or death stars, just critters trying to make sense of their existence against a starry backdrop.

Have always loved the art. Been WAAAY to long since I have read it. Time to go back and reread 😉
They mention that the critters havent fought a war or had conflicts. This is because they are a created society that is only 164 years old by the time of the first Lapine War. All the tech, knowledge, etc is left to them by The Creators.
Its an interesting world to play around in.
Hi,
I’m the Mike Wilson mentioned in the video- gosh, fame at last!
I just wanted to clarify that Chase Murphy has not, in fact won a Golden Demon. He’s a very good painter, and has twice won Warlord Games best painter awards in the US.
The kickstarter is now live, and funded – and we’re moving into the stretch goals. If your curious, you can find us at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/179272384/albedo-combat-patrol-the-28mm-sci-fi-miniatures-ga?ref=project_build
Great video!
Mike
Having ploughed through the comics, generously released online by the artist-author, I can certainly say this isn’t a bulkheads and badgers toned universe. “Atrocities” is definitely an apt word for some of the events that occur, yikes, so the overall atmosphere is more grim dark, though not so much so as 40k of course (that is a pretty high grim-dark bar right there). It is a good read though and there’s also a real effort to get some solid science in there for those into that. After being introduced to this I hope it does very well, I think it’d… Read more »
It looks like a furry Battletech minus the mecha suits.
Albedo might best be described as an optimistic future but one where very bad things still happen. The big thing to understand is until the Standard Year 164 the largest military action involved one notable anti-pirate operation. And that was no more than a reinforced Platoon a side. There all pretty innocent going into the First Lapine War which lasted roughly eleven years. In fact its really an interstellar war of amateurs armed with nuclear weapons and spaceships.
Just as a bit of a plug, the character of Erma Felna is central to the story,so we just had to produce her as a miniature. This is a special limited edition, that will be free for all £50 backers, of Erma in civvies. Military versions will be along later.

Beastmen in space with assault rifles, could be useful for xenos or genetically altered troop (or you could play the game they where made for).
Actually you make a very good point. These miniatures were designed with separate heads, tails and arms. As a consequence of that you can buy the heads and tails separate to do conversions on your favorite miniatures and games.
The Albedo Combat Patrol kickstarter campaign is going very well.
It funded in first 13 hours and we are now heading towards our third stretch goal which as an ILR Officer cast.
If you are still unsure who is who in this universe, one of our authors has provided a great information leaflet on ‘Who are the ILR’ @ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/179272384/albedo-combat-patrol-the-28mm-sci-fi-miniatures-ga/posts/2317947
