Happy Weekender folks! Get some hobby in!
Something from GW costs too much? Where do you get such ideas?
It’s the Weekend by the way!
Who woulda thunk it right?
The Hero Forge site and the contest are really cool. Its fun playing around with the designs.
How much!
Wow, that’s an expensive giant!
An extra show, im in, I didn’t enter a mini but will happily watch others imagination, bring on the live show ?
I do love those play mat books, cracking idea. Frost punk looks pretty grand but this show has been all about raise the black that looks cracking. See you Sunday all.
its show time.
I’ve also done a Justin on Heroforge and it’s not only nipples it’s missing ??
@lloyd has managed to find a way to add every part of the body
I only wish I had the time ?
Damn Right 🙂
Oh, except nipples of course.
That’s too much for people these days.
Happy weekend everyone. I think Warren has done a great job with the 18mm minis for Heroquest. The clear bases work so well.
The Pirate Starter Set looks awesome.
the game mat books look fabulous.
Yooo Welcome back Ben!
Thank you 🙂
Great show. The best bit for me was the mat books run through and @warzan heroquest creations. Bottle that enthusiasm and sell it! What a super tutorial. ? I do like the Mega-Gargant from GW, especially the sea-based version. Although there seems to be far more conversion options than the Mantic giant, I would agree that £120 (if confirmed) is pretty steep even when compared with a 40K Knight unless it’s a special ‘army’ deal with at least one (hopefully two) standard giant(s) chucked in. It’s certainly not something you can spend your pocket money on just like that and… Read more »
it is confirmed £120
oh and the giant has gone from £40 for one to £100 for two
Remember when plastics used to be cheaper than the similar product in metal or resin?
Black Scorpion Miniatures are re-running their KS for the Cutlass Giant (same size and £30 cheaper than the GW plastic one)

I do wonder when the bubble will break with GW prices, they really do seem to be “pushing the envelope” of late in experimenting on just how much they can charge and get away with it of late 🙁
The double box of old plastic giants going UP in price (instead of down for a multi-buy) seems to be indicative of that.
I think what’s most galling is that the giant was £25 when first released. That the exact same model 14 years later is now £37.50 is ridiculous.
I’m a tad disappointed with this pricing strategy for the gargants as £120 is akin to some of the specialist kits from Forgeworld and they are resin rather than cheaper plastic. I feel GW missed a trick in not creating a discounted army bundle for the gargant launch, even if limited in release. So the decision to start or not start a gargant army is pretty clear for me…
the giants will be great in an army like in jack the giant slayer.
Lets have a look then…
I’ve always thought the IS3? would be good for an alien invasion tank.
I picked up a mantic giant earlier this year – great price and a nice (big) model
I’ve two standard and a frost giant, they’re lovely for the price and even at £50 frosty is more resin than plastic and still worth the extra
black beard he gets old and go’s grey Lloyd.?
a fabulous show guy’s
Im pleased to see Blood and Plunder qith a box set.
Good show. People will still spend money and buy the gargants. Not me though. Shocking to see how much stuff on GWs site is sold out. Thanks for the opportunity.
The Wargames Atlantic Resistance fighters are the pick of the bunch for me this week. You could also use for VBCW (ECW3), and Spanish Civil War (what with all those berets). Going to be an extremely useful (and kitbashable) kit that many will end up buying. Bit of a “ninja release”, as they hadn’t leaked info before now. I wonder what other stuff they are working on (in secret)?
Wonder how they are trying to make an army fun that consists of about 3 models.
In the same way they made Imperial Knights fun with two or three models I would imagine. They won’t be for everyone but I’m sure some folks will enjoy the idea.
I will NOT give GW 120pounds for a Giant, On the other hand the Blood and Plunder …. Well I am in for Pirate Hunter so far and debating the Admiral or just adding the Collectors book
