In all my games playing as Soviets in TY the two golden rules are:
Max out your company,
Find a target, spread out and hit it with everything!
When it’s gone, move onto the next.
The only other variation is to pick on the hardest unit first whilst you still have the firepower to deal with it.
Basically it’s a bit like playing Orks ???
Your first mistake was to leave Freddy with his dice.
I really enjoyed the game, lets have more.
PS are there no sods with Kalashnikov, RPGs and IEDs?
Just awaiting my copy of oil war … come on postie!
Did notice something or maybe I wasn’t paying attention correctly ( trying to wrangle baby from causing havoc while watching) but looked like you both forgot about laser range finders? Which would negate the +1 to hit over 16”. And do units suffer a -1 to hit when moving? Though in this case Freddie did deliver a paddling anyway:)
