I’m very impressed, I love hearing more about the process on how they make it to the table. Very interesting on the lessons learnt too, nice of them to delve into their manufacturing process and how theyve made it to here too.
Wow. This is so cool. Maybe a carrier change would be an option. 3d designing and printing looks like great fun. Can’t wait to see the dwarf in the mail.
The models look incredible. It will be nice when I will see the dwarf up close and personal.
Oh wow, fascinating talk and I love the detail you were able to go in to. I wouldn’t have thought anyone was this far along the path to using 3d printing for actual product. Consider me sold on the idea!
The single biggest benefit for me as a consumer is the reduction of mould lines to “mould dots” – the amount of wasted time (and potential damage) this can save is a huge win.
As I’m more a painter than a gamer I can’t wait to lay a brush on those figures..
They certainly seem like a new benchmark. Very impressed 😎
You have no idea how much I hate cleaning off flash and mould lines. Those are a dream come true. Can’t wait to get my hands on the minis tomorrow.
What a great video to learn about the production process.
Loosing the mouldlines, would be so cool as I’d rather have the dots as it is obvious where they are.
Great video, very educational!
These are my favorite types of videos here at BoW, keep them coming.
I’ve seen the figures up close and I can agree with @warzan in that the detail is stunning
That was fascinating – a really interesting glimpse of the future of the hobby. Can’t wait to get my hands on my Kickstarter order now!
An interesting video, learnt a lot from this. More videos like this please.
I must admit, this has been the most fascinating video I’ve watched in a long time. Usually, I play videos while work on a pop-out window and listen to them while working, but I had to stop this one and rewatch it without the distraction of work. I’m waiting for 3D printers to reach the mass market level of cost, but seeing these makes me want to jump in and pick up a resin bath printer. I keep thinking about the costs of printing in resin, but if I choose to print my own, I can decide exactly what I… Read more »
For me, the level of detail is irrelevant if I end up loosing 10% of it because of the sanding or filing I have to do in order to remove stepping lines or the rough texture left over from the printing process. I also have an intrinsic distrust of anything other than retail product when it comes to ‘representative quality’ so while this news is very interesting and I appreciate the commitment to 3D print the models themselves, I will literally believe it when I can pick a product up off the shelf and inspect it for myself.
