At last a the reliable way tell when weekend starts returns.
Welcome back and Happy new year all.
Yes. Finally a weekender again.
The weekend starts now!
Welcome back! I’ve missed you guys. Have a great weekend everyone!
2D or 2mm it’s probably one of those
15mm is the only scale that matters 🙂
Only if you like massive figures 😉
I am now tempted to start up a 15mm Dark Age collection thanks to Forged In Battle.
Happy Weekender all. Welcome back to everyone. Always happy to see Wofun get lots of airtime especially the Peter Dennis Range. I didn’t know about the new Peter Dennis Napoleonic range which was a pleasant surprise as the computer generated faces of the original Wofun range I’ve always found off putting. I will be winging my way over to the new range as fast as my internet connection allows no doubt. Hopefully we will see an eventual expansion to include the usual suspects like Russia and Prussia but I’m hoping for the Americans and 1812.
Peter Dennis has done a lot of artwork over the years so I bet there will be a lot of expansion content on the way
That’s true lots to look forward to. I’m a very proud owner of the Wofun Texan war range, it really is as good as it looks
Love the Heddonite of Slaanesh models.
I am posting here as well as on You Tube as I have been contemplating an Emperors Spears army and the Battleforce would be a great incentive
*bleep* *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* *bleep* and *bleep* … yep… Warren back on stream…
are you here to win yet another set of spacemarines ? 😉
Of course… XD
Not that you’ll ever get them if you do win lol
As someone said in here earlier. We started with flats decades ago and we’ve just come full circle
Congratulations Warren on your new year in your new prison of house arrest and hard labour, if you can find a hardware open.
I missed you guys…
The battleforce you’re giving away is the dream of my son.
Those Heddonite of Slaanesh models; not a fan of AoS, but I think they would work great for Saga: Age of Magic.
Happy new year weekender everyone.
great to see you guys back
Very nice.
The Weekender is BACK!!! I’d love to grab some of those Roman building from ‘Forged In Battle’! Very nice looking. I could build a complete ‘City of Rome’ with all those choices. If they were 28mm scale I’d use them for my ‘Clash of Spears’ armies. Guess I’ll have to look at a Roman Army in 15mm now! (thanks @warzan ??) I picked up the ‘Gamma Wolves’ book. Fantastic stuff. I’ve been doing some modeling in 3D for creating some ‘frames’ from scratch, but I’ve been spending more time searching the Internet for all the available robo/mecha models that could… Read more »
I would very much like to see some of those frames that you’ve made from scratch 🙂
Was also looking at the Dream Pod 9 plastics for their Heavy Gear Game, some of their minis aren’t your usual “manga/mecha” look (well quite a few are, but some factions aren’t). They look to be about 28mm high, so you could add some 15mm sci-fi minis from GZG for the infantry and then just kitbash the Heavy Gear plastics to make some wierd and wonderful creations 🙂
Been interesting to see the Wofun product line evolve. Initially I was “just” interested in the ranges, but when they started to use the Peter Denis artwork it’s shifted me to being seriously on the fence about making a purchase.
Probably I’d be looking at forces to do a “fixed” smaller battle (such as Hastings) and treating it all as a standalone game. With the current prices coming in a less than most “all in pledges” for most of the hybrid boardgame with minis kickstarters it’s coming to make serious financial sense.
I like the idea of it being a “battle in a box” product for sure. Something you can run out with a few friends and just have fun with like a board game etc.
Indeed. During the original kickstarter Wofun did two “Battlefield in a Box” sets (one was for the Battle of Gaugamela in 331 BC and the other was Waterloo in 1815). Each box came with all the flats you needed for both armies and a special hex grid map and rules to play the game. Not sure what happened to the range (if there was no demand during the KS or something), but it was a very good idea. Getting something like Hastings in a box with the terrain/map already included would be the way to go in my book. And… Read more »
It’s great to see that those WoFun figures exist, because I think they’d look really good in those epic mass battle rank&file games.
They do lack a bit depth for skirmish games, although that makes hiding behind trees much easier 😉
nice one guys good to you all back.
I definitely like the front/back 2D rather than the side view. I checked out the wofun site after seeing it on your YouTube episode. I’m curious as to how the 2D minis will stand on terrain such as hills? Are the bases provided by wofun weighted? If they’re not weighted, hobby time!
They’re mdf so while not weighted there shouldn’t be an issue. If a plastic or metal model will stand on your terrain then the flats will have no problem.
It’s the New Year’s first Weekender!
Time to preview some 2021 hobby…
Infinity looks amazing! Looking forward back stage.
Happy new year!!
Great to have the weekender back, was starting to go through withdrawal.
Welcome back guys, I’ve missed this :). Happy New Year to everyone.
Great to have it back!
