Wild New Options For CMON’s A Song Of Ice & Fire
December 10, 2021 by brennon
CMON has revealed some new releases for those diving into A Song Of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game. There is a nice selection of different heroes for you to use within your 32mm Fantasy armies as well as some specialised options too.
Free Folk Heroes II // A Song Of Ice & Fire
The Free Folk are getting some fun new options this time around. This starts with some rather monstrous characters leading the way. Who wouldn't want to include some heroic giants in their army as it seeks to smash through the ranks of the Night's Watch? Wun Wun and Mag The Mighty join the forces of the Free Folk. Whilst they might be utter focal points of destruction, they can also be pretty tactical too.
The next of the miniatures is a war machine for the Free Folk. Why not clamber onboard a Frozen Shore Chariot?
Frozen Shore Chariots // A Song Of Ice & Fire
A solid cavalry option for those playing as the Free Folk. They have got by so far with a fairly large horde of infantry but this offers up a way to sneak down the flanks and cut off the retreat of your enemy.
The Night's Watch also have a new set of heroes for you to pick up. A good selection of options for those wanting to push their prowess on the battlefield and in the shadows behind the scenes.
Night's Watch Heroes II // A Song Of Ice & Fire
This set comes with characters like Benjen Stark, Coldhands, Craster, Samwell Tarley and Gilly. However you want to run your Night's Watch, you'll find a way to do so with this set of new heroes.
The forces of House Greyjoy are not to be left out either. They can also call on the power of the Silenced Men to do the dirtiest of deeds on the battlefield.
Silenced Men // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Gather up your pillage tokens with ease from these miniatures and cause terror across the battlefield. They are the perfect unit of elite troops for the Greyjoys, adept at routing the enemy with their sheer presence or through the use of those brutal, sundering great axes.
Catch Up On More From A Song Of Ice & Fire
As well as these newer releases, you can also snap up three more recent additions to the collection by CMON...
Ranger Vanguards // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Clegane Brigands // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Karstark Spearmen // A Song Of Ice & Fire
Blood and brilliant options for three different factions. I really like the miniatures from CMON for A Song Of Ice & Fire and I know a lot of people who use them beyond CMON's wargame in plenty of skirmish games too.
Are you still playing A Song Of Ice & Fire? If so, which of these new units most appeals to you?

The Night Watch on the giant elk is a beautiful piece. I don’t play this game, but I wouldn’t mind parting with some cash just to get it.
A lot of people end up buying the single miniatures from sets for this game for Rangers Of Shadow Deep and D&D – there might be some on eBay in the near future.
Just be aware this ASOIAF range tends to run big, like 32/35mm big. Works fine next to AOS, but don’t try to blend them with GW’s Middle-Earth SBG range, as the difference is noticeably comical (MESBG is the oldschool smaller 25/28mm standard.)
Thanks for the heads up.
Lovely sculpts
Those look really good.
Ooh they look fantastic an love the giant’s
No real idea when these will actually land though. We are still waiting for the minis announced back in January although Asia and the US appear to be awash with them. The distribution for this game is the worst part of it. It is a super sweet game though, every single play through has been to the wire and could have gone either way right to the last throw of the dice. I love it.
These are bloody good to see. I’ve been waiting for some of these to appear for a long time. I was worried it had all just quietly faded away.
Great to see more new miniatures.
I play Night’s Watch but the chariot looks great.
When are the new cards coming out for the revised rules?
