Blood Keep Miniatures Unleash The Mighty Zurag The Smasher
June 19, 2016 by brennon
Blood Keep Miniatures have shown off another fantastic model for their collection of BIG monsters. Here we have Zurag The Smasher who seems like he would be a brutal monster to have under your sway...
As you can see he is a monster of a miniature with a warped and hastily crafted hammer and shield in hand. I think his wild nature means that he could make anything into a weapon which is neat. Take a look at a few more angles of him.
Don't look too carefully there folks. Anyway, away from that - yes, this is a fantastic new monster for their range and you can go and snap it up from their webstore now.
The miniature is 13cm tall making it around 5 inches tall. That doesn't sound a lot but I think he make sup for it with dynamism.
What do you think folks?

That’s a gorram fierce looking beast!
Cool looking big guy
Oh my !
Such animation. Wow!
In fact I’m having one; he’ll be a fantastic giant for Frostgrave!
Very impressive.
That is BEYOND gorgeous!
Nice mini, would look good in a Chaos Dwarf army.
Btw, is it just me, or is he erm…flashing a bit when viewed from behind? :s
Gorgeous. A toss up between Blood Keep and Creature Caster for who makes the best centerpiece models!
I would add Mierce to that list as well
… and Mierce @rasmus 🙂
Lovely mini, glad they didn’t put the meat with the veg…..
Bullocks!
ben great delivery mate ,you made me giggle.
elromanozo , love your style my friend .
oh yeah cool miniature
looks great,
defiantly the bulls balls.
proportions do not look like the one a big monster would have.
looks like a human sized monster at a big scale because of the human like proportions :/
What do you mean ? Very few humans can boast a physique as impressive as that, especially without steroid use… I understand you would like it better if he were cartoony, perhaps.
I think he might mean that the limbs should be thicker to be able to support it better like an elephant or rhino (ie physics would mean that human proportions wouldn’t work at the size this monster is), but giants and other such big things are usually depicted with human proportions so maybe he doesn’t mean that.
exactly this what i mean. it happens in many monster models but this one is very visible because it is very muscled but very thin and I think that the dynamic pose does not help to depict it as a giant monster.
would be a fantastic human sized beastman chief however
Oh, I see… Well, yes. While I don’t find the proportions shocking, I do wish the figure would be a tad smaller.
Just wow!
Looks great! Has anyone here bought from Blood Keep before? Is the real thing as good as it looks on the website? A couple of their other minis like Tyrath and Azrat look amazing – just wish I knew where I could get them into a game of something!
A legitimate question try this page but translate its in German http://warhammer-board.de/thread/34158-review-varkai-blood-keep-miniatures/
note:they no longer sell the varkai
Thanks for the link. That’s quite a damning review. I would hope they have improved quality since then, just to do the renders justice if nothing else.
Very cool looking model!
Looks fantastic.
I wonder just how large he is.
Around 5″ / 13cm tall @odinsgrandson
