Oakbound Studio Craft A Wonderful Brian Froud Fantasy Giant

Oakbound Studio has taken to Kickstarter with a new project looking to bring a Brian Froud-style Giant to the tabletop for use in their miniatures game, The Woods. This Giant was hand sculpted and stands at a hefty 90mm tall, perfect for use in all manner of Fantasy games.

The Giant is based on artwork from a children's novel called "Are All The Giants Dead?" which was illustrated by Froud. The miniature has been designed to match that artwork and as a nod to the Fantasy stories of old that have inspired the work that Oakbound has done in their worlds.

The miniature is going to be cast in resin by Ramshackle Games and will be a multi-part kit. If you've seen the miniatures from Ramshackle Games before then you'll know that the work that Curtis does is pretty awesome.

The Giant will also come with a laser cut MDF base and should look awesome when it's finally on the tabletop. I really like how Oakbound have been able to capture the subtleties of the sculpt and how it has been matched so nicely to the artwork. It's also pretty reasonably priced as well!
