Never Fear, Northumbrian’s Guards! Guards! Guards? Are Here

Northumbrian Tin Soldier continues the Fantasy whimsy for today with some excellent looking 28mm miniatures. The newest set is Guards! Guards! Guards? which is clearly drawing parallels from a certain novel!

Never fear because these clearly competent guards are keeping an eye on the streets and watching over its sleeping citizens. Regardless of what terrible goings-on are happening on the cobblestone streets of the city, these guards will be...well, they will be back in their guard tower playing cards and drinking probably. I don't think they're very good at their job...
This particular set comes with nine miniatures cast in metal. You get the big Ogre Guard who has detained a hapless Halfling plus a band of regular rank and file guards. I think these would make a perfect warband to use across pretty much any Fantasy skirmish game.
HONK!
You'll also note the real leaders of the pack, Sergeant Honk & Norbert Billington!

Who better to lead the way and chase criminals from the dark corners of the city? I absolutely love that these guards have decided that geese are the best way forward. I also like the idea that maybe these are two of the more experienced guards who got magically transformed into geese back in the day and they've just continued to serve alongside their fellow law-keepers.
Are you going to be snapping this pack of miniatures up?

Almost a discworld nightwatch
A werewolf might have been cool
I’m sure you can find a suitable one to mix in with this lot
….I need a reason to buy these and put them ahead of a dozen other projects in my painting queue. They are rather good!
They are rather good is a good reason ??
Happy cheery bunch of troops to keep town’s folk safe.
Those look very nice.
With so many companies bringing out overly serious miniatures, it’s nice to see something different, which is still beautifully sculpted.
And with more character than most of ‘em serious ones, if I might add!
Simply amazing ! I am in love
