New Wave Of Dungeons & Diversity Miniatures Pop Up From Strata!

A new wave of Dungeons & Diversity heroes have popped up from the folks at Strata Miniatures. There are four new designs which cover Fantasy Fighters, Bards, Wizards and Rangers of the Human and Half-Elf persuasion.

All of the miniatures, much like the previous wave, have been sculpted up by Russ Charles and Tom Lishman showing off a neat alternative window into the world of adventuring for games like Dungeons & Dragons. Built on the work of Sara, also known as "@mustangsart" on Twitter, there are rules online for including these Combat Wheelchairs in your games, regardless of your class.
As well as the Half-Elf Ranger above, we also have this Half-Elf Wizard who is summoning magical energies to her as she gets ready to blast a few foes away.

On the Human side of things, we have a Fighter with sword and shield at the ready as well as some brutal accessories for making a charge all the more painful.

We also have this Human Bard who comes in two different styles for both a Male and Female choice.

As well as all of their kit that they're using for battle they also have the rest of their supplies strapped to the back of their chairs as well. I think this is very cool to see, especially in the case of the Bard who is laden down with all manner of interesting bits and bobs.
All of the miniatures are available as digital files but you can also order them in physical format cast in either resin or metal. However, you want to get these characters to the tabletop, there are options to do so.

Monsters are safe. Wheelchair heroes are like old school daleks. Foiled by stairs
Thankfully there are magic rules for using the chairs in such stair-based dungeons.
Not if antimagic shell still exists as a spell ?
And don’t most movement spells affect a person, not an object? So the chair would be left behind.
Worth reading the rules linked above as they answer most if not all questions.
Unless you’re playing something like role-master with it’s ludicrous critical system… characters can’t be disabled by injury. Admittedly there are games with character flaws, Hollow Earth Expeditions for one has a flaw that allows a character to have mobility issues. But as a general rule… wheelchairs are a liability. In the latter years of my mothers life her mobility deteriorated and I pushed her around in a wheelchair… going uphill was hard work, uneven pavements made the journey bumpy and curbs problematic… Putting a wheelchair into a fantasy environment of mud roads, unpaved cities and rocky caverns would be enough… Read more »
You’re overthinking it.
It’s a telepathic wheelchair that can float up stairs, grow skis to cross snow and water, and grow spider legs to climb walls.
It also costs significantly less than a pair of Slippers of Spider Climb, and can apparently be crafted or purchased in almost any settlement.
It’s there if you want your entire party in magical, armoured wheelchairs. I’d avoid it if you want any verisimilitude in your campaign.
I don’t believe a disabled person should be stuck in a wheelchair. The wheelchair, IMO, is an outdated symbol of disability. Exoskeletons seem sf, but are vast improvements over wheelchairs, from mobility, to self-esteem. The main reason we don’t have exoskeletons for disable persons? Money. Personally, I also think lack of awareness doesn’t help, and these miniatures don’t raise social awareness that disabled people have an alternative to the wheelchair.
