MomMiniatures Bring Down A Beast With Their New Dwarf
January 27, 2015 by brennon
MomMiniatures have added another fantasy hero to their Divine Rage collection with this new Dwarf. As you can see he is pictured standing atop the head of a fallen giant with his axe embedded in its head...
Quite an awesome piece, although I do pretty much like anything to do with Dwarfs. I like that instead of using a rock they just put the whole character atop the head of a giant or troll as the pedestal on which he stands. This also goes a great way towards us potentially seeing full units from these guys.
Here you can see an unpainted version so you can get an idea of what it's like out of the box. At first the positioning of the axe was really weird and I couldn't tell where it was meant to be, or even what kind of weapon it was, until it was painted up.
If you want to see more of this range of fantasy miniatures there's Humans, Barbarians, Orcs and Elves to check out HERE.
Head on over and have a look!

That looks rather good.
Great looking mini.
What’s not to like? He’s a badass, and bearded dwarf…win!
The sculpt is a bit off for me, but the pose is amazing…
Great looking mini, but the rock would have to go. Looks too weird ranked up with other dwarf figures, especially in a non-rock environment.
Not a rock. It’s a giant monster head.
But I agree the sculpt isn’t very legible, and the paint job doesn’t correct that… Which is exactly the problem with this sculpt IMHO.
Just noticed that @elromanozo :-). Thanks for pointing that out! Now the odd positioning of the axe actually makes sense. It’s stuck in the critter’s head.
Didn’t recognize the name at first. I ordered up their big Chaos beastie, that appeared on here a few months back, and it’s a fantastic piece. Solid resin, huge, and only 20 euros. I’ve got my eye on a bunch more. Guys riding those would make an intimidating command group! I’m also happy with the priest I ordered at the same time:

I mostly like it, but… Is it just me or is that axe handle WAY too big? Like, there is no way his hands are going to get any sort of grip on it the thing.
I know a lot of minis have way too large handles on their weapons, but it seems to really stick out to me in this mini.
Or is it just the angle that makes it look that way?
Hmmm this is a serious pose. The sculpt is not so great but the pose is saying exactly what Jules’ wallet was saying.
