Mighty Athena Stands With Spear Aloft For Mythic Battles: Pantheon
June 15, 2016 by brennon
Mythic Battles: Pantheon have another wonderfully painted miniature to show off this week and this time they are turning to the wisdom of Athena. Check her out below painted by Martin Grandbarbe.
This is another of the big God(dess) characters from Mytic Battles and I think you'll agree that they've made her look like quite the powerful individual. I like that they've based her around so much of the imagery from the time with the helmet on her head and the owl by her side.
The model was sculpted by Viktor Dragoman and Arnaud Boudoiron based on the artwork from the very busy Stefan Kopinski who seems to have his fingers in many pies right now.
There will actually be a guide to painting her and other characters within the art book and campaign book for this game when it finally releases. I like what they've done with the dress she's wearing where they've done some great work with shading and highlighting to make it look like it's flowing.
What do you make of wise Athena?

Very nice.
I like it. How tall is she? I still plan on getting into ancients, Greeks specifically, and throwing in mythological creatures and gods
I think they said all the gods for the game are going to be 60-70mm. Check out the game, there will be a lot of mythical creatures too. The hydra is really impressive.
Athena looks great 😎
nice.
I wish there was some info on when they plan to launch this … looks really cool.
They’ve said once Conan wave one ships, which is going to be sometime in October.
