Learn About The Hundred Kingdoms Of Para Bellum’s Conquest
September 29, 2017 by brennon
Para Bellum Wargames have talked a lot about the Spire and its clones but we now turn our attention to The Hundred Kingdoms of Conquest.
Here we have a fantastic piece of artwork showing off one of these valiant warriors, decked out in some insane armour. Once again I'm hit by the wonderful art style for this game.
If you want to know more about the background of the faction then Para Bellum has also helped out in that regard...
It's fascinating to see that there is a lot of infighting and strife within The Hundred Kingdoms. It's the kind of thing that was great about The Empire in Warhammer Fantasy where they were all 'united' and yet at each other's throats.
Standing against the dangerous foes that surmount them The Hundred Kingdoms also draw on Orders and Faith. Each of the different Orders focus on particular aspects of warfare, be they in conflict or behind the scenes.
Now we just need to see what the models look like!
Are The Hundred Kingdoms appealing to you?

The art and lore is on point! Really interested to find out more about The Faith’s military organization… and to see how much customisation possibilities the Orders provide. Still very excited for this one 😀
stunning art again along with a very intriguing setting.
We’ve seen that guy before and it’s still a very compelling and highh quality piece. Great dense atmosphere and intriguing baroque / renaissance design with this odd trist to it. Where you got the Kingdom Death and Dark Souls vibe. Even painting style wise it’s quite spot on with the content.
Very promising again. As with their Spirer’s illustrations I could basically live off this alone. But let’s see some miniature design.
I’ve seen that art several times in a few small pics, but I just had a proper look at all the details of it for the first time. Absolutely love the atmosphere of it. Would like t know who the artist is.
In fact, this is one of my favourite pieces of fantasy art for ages! Love that it’s not an action scene, which makes it different and refreshing. Love how the armour is quite historical, but with loads of baroque and intriguing details that make you wonder at what adventures this character has endured. Love that it seems to be set in some kind of lavish anteroom, as if this guy is about to be called into some shady back room negotiation, or asked to give account of his success/failure in the field to his superiors. I am a fan of… Read more »
I love how that massive painting on the wall behind creates a renaissance vibe – clever how the painting in the background means that this is not an action scene, but does include action.
The expression on this guy’s face – he looks as if he’s seen all there is to see, and takes absolutely no messing. But he also looks more than a little wary about whatever is about to happen to him. Who is he going to meet?
It really is an epic. I think iot’s th ework of the Para Bellum team themselves. In their personakt statement they say, “…We are scared of the scale of the project. But it’s because we care. We care about the hobby. We care about your budget. We care if you didn’t sleep well last night and if your paintbrush has lost so many bristles that you need a new one. We care about your car, your toothbrush and if your significant other ever finds out about how much you spent for all the models in your storage. That is why… Read more »
After seeing the minis I lost interest in this project.

Very disappointing.
We’ve seen these already. Para Bellum have said they they are not the official studio paint schemes and that they were done just to see what they would look like with silly bright colours.
I’d reserve judgement until you see them. Done properly 😉 I’ve had a sneak peak and they look epic.
I really hope so.
But if the quality of the artworks was the benchmark, they already missed the mark by a mile. The paintjobs didnt help for either.
Its not like there is a lack of choice these days.
