Flaming Berserkers Fight For The Dweghom In New Conquest Preview

Over the past few weeks, we've been looking closer at the Dweghom from Para Bellum Wargames' Conquest. Well, this latest preview from them shows off one of the units from their army, the Flame Berserkers.

These fellows aren't just any old Berserkers. These fellows are deadly warriors who have also been able to harness the power of fire. Considering the amount of time that the Dweghom and Dwarves, in general, spend around forges it makes sense that some of that heat would have got ingrained in the personalities.

The fire, therefore, is literally a part of them and I can't wait to see what the imagery is for these warriors once folks have got them painted up.

You could just imagine them either pale and ashy skin, a little bit like a Duergar in Dungeons & Dragons, with flaming hair and black armour to echo the obsidian that they bolt onto their bodies.

A lot of the peoples and such from the world of Conquest have all got this edge of heavy metal about them and these Dweghom really do push that to the limit.

Some of the designs do look a little bit too Sci-Fi for my liking but I can see the overall theme that they're going for and I think with the right art direction and painting they would fit into the world that we've seen so far from Para Bellum.

With the team being at Essen this year we're hoping to bump into them and talk about their plans for the future.
