Conquest’s Old Dominion Army Rise With New Pre-Orders!
February 28, 2022 by brennon
The Old Dominion is on the march with pre-orders going live for this new army in Para Bellum Wargames' Conquest: The Last Argument Of Kings. New characters and core troops are available ahead of more releases later this year!
Archimandrite // Conquest

Leading the way, we have terrifying creations like the Archimandrite. Some of the oldest and most dangerous members of the Last Creed, these creatures are able to command the cults and undying legions with their terrible and dark arts. They are steeped in the blessed and vile might of the unGod!
If you want a slightly more martial hero choice then you can call on the sword of the Xhiliarch.
Xhiliarch // Conquest
The Xhiliarch were mighty warriors when they were alive. They commanded a thousand men each and trained them diligently in the ways of war. They were often buried with honour and plenty of care was taken when they were entombed. This means that when they were roused from their slumber, they retained much of their minds making them potent warriors with their own minds rather than simple, shambling servants.
Another of the character options you can pick up right now is the Limited Edition Strategos.
Strategos Limited Preview Edition // Conquest
The Strategos were the supreme commanders of the Dominion Legions. Even the mighty Xiliarchs fought beneath them and followed their orders. Similar to the Xiliarchs, they were also buried with the appropriate care and attention meaning that when they awoke, they were able to return to service. However, as well as remembering their training, the Strategos also recall their memories too. This means that their lives are full of misery and loss for those who are now long gone. This means that they can even step away from the orders of their resurrectors and plot their own path if they see fit.
Old Dominion Units
As well as the characters for the Old Dominion, Para Bellum Wargames is also releasing a set of troops too. The Legionnaires are at the forefront of this.
Old Dominion Legionnaires // Conquest
These warriors were one of the most feared fighting forces in Ea. Whilst they have lost the speed that they once had, the Legionnaires replace that with a relentless urge to push forward and destroy. Combine this with their well-drilled discipline and the Old Dominion are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
This set can also be used to build the even more dedicated Old Dominion Praetorian Guard.
Old Dominion Praetorian Guard // Conquest
Twice doomed because of their loyalty to the Caelesors and secondly their God, these warriors retain a portion of themselves. That means that they are just as deadly as they were in life. I absolutely love these models too, especially with those full-faced helmets. A fantastic twist on a classic Roman design.
As well as the units above, the team at Para Bellum Wargames are also releasing the strange and twisted Moroi and Kheres. We'll take a better look at them once we get some proper pictures of the units!
New Old Dominion One Player Starter Set
If you just want to go all-in when it comes to the Old Dominion then you can snap up the One Player Starter Set!
Old Dominion One Player Starter Set // Conquest
This is the best way to get started in The Last Argument Of Kings or First Blood. You get twenty-four Kheres/Moroi and twenty-four Legionnaires/Praetorian Guard. You also get the Archimandrite to lead these forces into battle. Additionally, you'll find a rulebook for The Last Argument Of Kings, assembly guides, a preview of First Blood 2.0 and a Path Of Conquest guide to the Old Dominion.
Completing the round-up of new pre-orders, you can also get your hands on the Army Support Pack for the Old Dominion. So, you will have everything that you need to dive in and start playing as this undead legion.

Yeah as the saying goes “here – just take my money” you horrifically talented beauties you
Those look really good.
Very interesting looking miniatures, and nice to see the game getting continued support and new stuff.
Man these are really nice. If they were 28mm scale so I could fit them into my current undead army I would snap these up. Personally I am going to hold off until I see what the City State army looks like before jump in. That said I might pick up a single box of the units as they are not badly priced and could be a lot of fun to paint.
a fab new undead army for players.
