Check Out The Militia Men Of Para Bellum’s Conquest

Para Bellum shared some new images with us today showing off their awesome looking Militia Men which will be available for your armies in Conquest.
The set will allow you to make soldiers armed with Halberds, Longbows and Shortbows. So, if you're looking for a unit that can get stuck combat or shoot from afar and cover your advance you will have options. You can see the Bannerman of the unit above, as well as the Champion here.
As a fan of the Militia and Free Companies from Warhammer Fantasy Battles, units like this are awesome to see. Soldiers of fortune mostly, these men have banded together to fight for money as well as a bit of fame. The reality is no doubt a lot dirtier and bloody.
Here you can see this fellow with the Halberd from the unit. I think the overall design is ok here but I think that the Halberd itself seems a bit too big?
By comparison, the various Archers are looking great for this set.
I really like the range of different bodies and heads that you also seem to be able to get with this set as well as the additional accessories around the belts too. It makes them seem a lot rougher, which certainly suits Militia Men.
Above is one of the Longbowmen that fills in one of the additional options for the unit as well. Once again, it seems like the actual bow might be a big bigger than I would have liked, it doesn't even quite fit into the hand, but otherwise the design is looking great.
What do you think?

They look good, but look a touch too static to me. I don’t expect them to have super dynamic action poses, especially as they need to rank up, but I think it’d had looked nice to have some with one foot forwards, bending forwards slightly so they can be built to be angling their halberd forwards, bracing their shields against a charge
I understand some compromises were made in order to make it a triple kit. Scouts, bowmen and milita soldiers
I usually get a better feel for a game’s minus when the ordinary humans make an appearance. I like these a lot.
Those do look really good.
I’ve seen the real things painted up. Can’t wait to get hold of some now 🙂
