Blood Keep Miniatures Bow Before The Might Of Tyrath
September 29, 2015 by brennon
Blood Keep Miniatures have another mammoth project coming soon. Since they are 'Blood Keep' this is very much their Lord and Master. See what you think of Tyrath in all his glory...
The model is huge as you might imagine and shows off this miniature that's both dragon and demon all at once. He is carrying a massive sword and a banner/staff for calling down whatever power he can call upon.
This large monster stands atop a cloud wreathed mountain top. He looks like a dominating leader for the tabletop and something that would be in pride of place on a hobbyists painting desk.
What do you think of him?

That looks impressive.
I went to their website and dam … I love all their models.
Wow, that is an impressive looking figure.
Looks like a chance at some very nice monsters at very reasonable prices
That’s rather impressive.
nice.
That looks impressive.
Impressive,
most impressive.
That’s a beast no mistake! Beautifully done too. Makers of crappy, overly decorated Bloodthirsters should take note – that is how to do it.
The renders for these look fairly savage, but the shots of the model in plastic look a lot less cool. To my eyes there’s a significant drop in detail and sharpness. They really need to get some painted to show them off properly.
I noticed that too. I visited the website and thought ‘Woah, where have these guys been hiding?’ but the reason for the obscurity was soon clear.
Although the renders are beautiful and a true talent is behind them, the translation to resin is disappointing.
…good to know guys!
A bit of a loss of detail, but they are still amazing figures. Compare them, and the price to that GW thing that just got released. I’ll take one of these, thanks. They remind me of Creature Caster’s models.
In fact, now that I’ve seen the resin cast of the troll, I’ll be ordering four of those when this happy fellow goes up for retail :-). Still building a command group for an army from hell, (stock troops will mostly be GW beastmen and bloodletters) and I’m looking for a real showstopper.
