Black Crow Craft Up New Beasts, Busts & Elven Warriors
January 7, 2020 by brennon
Black Crow Miniatures has been tinkering away on some new models and they lead the way into 2020 with The Beast, a massive Minotaur who is glowering down on whoever has decided to step into his realm.
Whilst a lot of Minotaurs are designed to look utterly bestial, this particular fellow seems like there is a little bit of 'good' in him. Yes, he has a dangerous look on his face and skulls lashed to his armour but I could easily see this fellow as a heroic barbarian type, ready to fight alongside men and elves against more dangerous foes.
This model, and Eldareon who we have seen before, are both 75mm scale miniatures which is a bit of a shame as they would make great characters for roleplaying adventures. Still, I think you'll agree that both of these miniatures are stunning and would work nicely as painting projects.
You could really get stuck into painting up these fellows, either as grimdark warriors or something more resplendent and High Fantasy in design. I think doing a little bit of D&D-esque painting would work well here.
A Grim Bust
As well as those two 75mm miniatures you can also now get Uther, a 1/12 Bust which is another good option for painters and hobbyists.
This chap feels like he might have been inspired, at least to some degree, by a certain character from A Song Of Ice & Fire. I do like the miniature though, a fantastically battered-looking old Knight or Paladin who has seen far too much of war. He could even be from the world of Warhammer perhaps, a Knight of the Empire or Bretonnia who has been fighting against Beastmen and Chaos Warriors all his life.
What do you make of these new miniatures?
