Awaken Realms Returns With New Dream Crawler Game Etherfields

Your body has been taken… This is the only thing you know for sure. Your memory has faded away, when you drifted away to this strange world of dark dreams. You are an empty vessel now. Looking around, you find masks lying around… Which one will you choose…? What story will you follow…?
Following their £5 million Kickstarter success with Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon, Awaken Realms have returned with their new co-operative dream crawler game Etherfields.
Etherfields is a surreal and artistically crafted world in which players will craft their character from scratch through advance deck-building methods, traveling through a dream-world and using the map to venture further into dream-locations.
Etherfields will test players, logic, intuition, deduction, and emotional skills in an incredibly evoking world of dreams. Awaken Realms have said that this dream world will be "accompanied by one of the most unique miniatures and art we have ever made."
In this unique world of dreams and mysteries, the normal rules which govern life are suspended, and players may find themselves coping with strange twists of realities and nightmarish pursuits through multiple dream-worlds.
As such, fighting is not always the best option, and so players also have choices to cheat or change the perception of opponents to alter their reality.
Etherfields is a game which will test even the most seasoned gamers. With secret rules that can only be discovered by the most perceptive players, drafting cards based on art or name only, and deducing the intentions of encounters based on little information, Etherfields is a dream crawler designed for those who like solving elaborate puzzles.
Although still in development, Etherfields appears to be a game which promises the same intricate blend of mechanic, art, and narrative which has been demonstrated in their previous games.
There's no official Kickstarter launch date yet, but the game is already generating quite a bit of buzz. You can check out the Kickstarter draft page here for further information.

Those miniatures look stunning.
I read “Your body has been taken” and my mind instantly goes to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYUTfyQZ7Vg
Oh my…. someone has been learning their aesthetics from KD:M.
@cassn You throw about the phrase ‘dream crawler’ as though it were a standard genre of game, but i’ve never heard of it before. I like the idea the phrase conjures in my head though.
The Kickstarter page seems to have disappeared.
It was their term, although I have to say I’ve become quite enamored with it myself!
First thing I thought of was Kingdom Death, but with fewer penises.
Totsuzenheni, you are right, there is no kickstarter page. Even if the link is broken a search on Kickstarter should have found it but there is nothing.
I appreciate you checking. I did wonder if it was just some glitch on my system somewhere. Perhaps it is still there but has been made ‘hidden’ by Awaken Realms whilst they get it ready.
fantastic looking figures for one thing.
This isn’t particularly news, Etherfields was announced a while back and there’s been a lot of teasers and previews in a facebook group… What’s new is the KS preview page, though the KS may not even happen this year.
Though I love the sculpts, I’m struggling with the game concept. Feels a bit of a mash up of several existing games (but then truly original games are a rarity)
Magnificent constructs! Don’t know what I’d use them for, but I want them!
The graphics on this one are amazing. Had the free preview/givaway card set in my Nemesis pledge, beautiful stuff.
