Wyrd Show Off New Concept Art
July 29, 2011 by dracs
Wyrd Miniatures have three new pieces of concept art with which to tickle our fancy and they are looking promising to say the least.
These pictures have just the right element of strange and wonder, mixed with a rather sinister air, that one would come to expect from Wyrd.
It is the second one in particular which grabs my attention and I thoroughly look forward to seeing how it stands up as a miniature (please don't say on a base).
What do you all think of these? Is there any of them which particularly grab your attention? Leave us your comments below.

um…on a big base. LOL They look very cool.
The dreamer concept art if fantastic and if the “mini” is anything like the concept art it will be astounding.
Yay finally get to see the Nicodem avatar! I have to say those Dreamer and Hoffmann avatars look huuuuge! :O Can’t wait to see the models
Oh my ! I like all of them, but I love the regal zombie guy !
BoW Romain
Insane! Very much looking forward to these. The Dreamer one is…. amazing. Don’t know if I’ll buy any of them… I’d rather buy a lot more minions than spend 30+ on a new avatar form for a Master I already have. I also prefer to use a counts-as when possible, so many avatar forms won’t mesh well with the current minis I have.
The zombies quarrelled but decided to bury the hatchet.
It isn’t just the bogeymen under the bed or the monsters in the wardrobe any more, they also burst through the wall!
Painting the portal would be a challenge (unless you are Romain of course)
Very interesting. concepts
…that zombie has hatchet on his mind.
I’m curious how big that Dreamer “mini” is going to be. 50mm seems the upper limit so far, but that looks like a big-big model! Wondering what kind of nightmare it will be to assemble, too.
50mm base, rather.
But it still is the monster under the bed. It’s just too big to fit there entirely. 🙂 I also like the effect of the shifting brick wall – reminds me of the Londonmancer from Mieville’s Kraken, who could grab fistfuls of “Londond” and shape them like clay.
Little Nemo meets Godzilla 🙂
