Wrath of Kings Gets a Blooming New Preview
July 3, 2012 by brennon
If you're liking the look of the models coming out of Wrath of Kings, then check out this new preview for the game. Here is Kae Howun, The Deathbloom...
"The wandering fighters and their schools are treated as unwanted outsiders in Achrion’s tight knit society, for they have abandoned their ties to pursue a personal passion in the martial arts. Some of these students, however, had nothing to abandon. Kae Howun— meaning “found flower” in the local dialect—was abandoned as an infant at a crossroads and found by crimson blossom students. Raised in the school ’s hidden retreat in the mountains, she has known no life, community, or family but these disciplined mystics. A pleasant and charming, if not gregarious, young woman, she feels ostracized through no fault of her own, and suffers quite keenly the scorn and distrust of her countrymen."
That's certainly a very stylishly posed miniature. Lots of movement and action from the wispy base and the flowing sash. She has a bit of an anime feel to her and a stance reminiscent of models from Soda Pop Miniatures. Will you be picking up this mage from Wrath of Kings?
What do you think of Wrath of Kings and the models they are producing?
Love the painting and colours.
Like very much
love the face and, well pretty much everything else
I don’t think it’s just the pose that’s Soda Pop-esque – I think the quality of the sculpting of her arse is also very similar… 😉 In all seriousness though, while this is absolutely a very finely sculpted model, with great proportions, wonderful dynamism from the whipped-up ponytail, cloth belt and modelled ‘energy’ on the base, not to mention the ornate small pieces of armour and glaive she has…the pose doesn’t suggest ‘martial artist’ as the fluff does. In fact if you removed all the features that add a sense of movement, she’d be left looking as if she was… Read more »
Agreed. The musculature is very well done, the dynamism is there, but something just seems off about the pose. I can even forgive the somewhat bikini-like armor since she’s supposed to be a martial artist and she needs to move quickly, but the pose really suggests something other than fighting, looks more like stripping really. It’s a shame, because take this exact figure and put her in a more martial pose and she could be pretty kick ass.
On reflection as much as I like anime, the pose would have been so much cooler if she was standing on one leg on the water spout in a classic martial arts type stance, rather than having a throbbing imaginary motorcycle betwixt her powerful thighs.
I need a cold shower.
Sculpt is exelent with its anime influenced style and pose is extremely dynamic. There is no much movement in that sculpt.
Ah, jizzshot, the most potent of whiteflow magic spells …
Coming from her or the base? If you mean from the base then…what kind of knob is that?!
It is the legendary Yoni-no-kok, the Well of Girlie Delight.
As unique as this may seem, I don’t want to imagine being the one glueing this model together. It need pinning all over the place. Good luck to those that buy her, you’ll need it.
Look, she ripped her pole from the floor and ceiling. That’s gotta be the dumbest pose I’ve ever seen, trademark or not.
I could never buy this. One look at that ass and I’d whack the thing clean across the room. 😛
LOL!!!!!
Fanservice aside, it’s a beautifully sculpted model, the anatomy is astounding, specially the leg muscles.
With the right paintjob it would remind me of Mai Shiranui.
