Worthy Painting Bring the Nuem-Paenitentiam To Creepy Life
May 14, 2012 by brennon
Tor Gaming have hit quite a sweet spot with the Nuem and their creepy models, many wargamers are loving the look. So when you check out this painted Nuem-Paenitentam prepare for a little bit of shiny syndrome to hit for this Relics faction...
I think we can safely say that these are some of the weirdest and strangely beautiful models out at the moment. Loving the pale flesh clashing against the dark and cruel metal, as well as the masses of blood and gunk covering these berserk models. Worthy Painting have done a seriously good job on these.
Don't forget of course that the IndieGoGo campaign is still going!
Will you be joining the Nuem in Relics?

For criminals who have been cut off from their painsuits, they sure look like they’re feeling a whole lot of pain anyway! 🙂 Lovely paint job from Worthy especially the little touches of blood – makes them look like deadly zombie babies…ZOMBABIES! The pale flesh is very fitting since there can’t be much light in those painsuits, and the runic tattoo is a nice thematic touch also. Best of all, the top Paenitentiam looks like Donald Sumpter (the evil priest from Being Human and Apothecary Pythol in the Ultramarines fail- I mean film) which I massively approve of. 🙂 Great… Read more »
Those look delightfully nasty. Nick deserves also from these every praise he gets.
Thanks, they where painted by Worthy Paintings Dan Twiss.
Oh, I didn’t know that. Thats good to know and I wish that painter would had been mentioned in this article. Or then I just need to start refering you guys as Worthy Painting
team or something to avoid confusion since there no way to tell who is painter and when.
Depends on where they picked the story up from – the images are on the interweb without the painters name at the moment.
They posted this before I submitted it as a article, which would have included Dan’s name.
I guess they can only work with what they have 😉
That’s a good point about the name. Good job on Dan Twiss.
Freakyness and awesomeness combined – I’d love to get these mad weirdos! That Nuem-Paenitentiam #3 is my favourite, though I do like the first a lot too! You could mix up some red washes (maybe Tamiya Clear Red as I saw one youtuber do) with UHU glue to make some sticky drooling blood out of it’s mouth – nasty lol 🙂
Thanks guys,
Dan and Worthy Painting are proving to be able to hit the hot spot with all our miniatures at the moment – I’m especially looking forward to seeing what they do with the Orcnar! They really need sorting, paint job wise.
DOn’t forget to pre-order your copies of these on the IndieGoGo project and take advantage of the stretch goals for more free models from the Relics range – Plus you can order the other factions too and still take advantage of the free models from all factions! http://igg.me/p/84954?a=505705
Great to see them painted up, I definitly like the “horror” feel to them, love the empty sockets and chains connected to them.
Worthy paintings Dan has done an absolutely stunning job on these, very cool to see the Nuem finally coming out.
Does anyone think that the Nuem might be TOO scary though? :p
Ha, he asks this as I am in two minds about posting the last part of the story about the Nuems appearance up on the interweb – You can read the first part here: http://www.torgaming.co.uk/rd/the-nuem-have-returned-to-relicia-part-one/
It has a Nappa (Orncar baby) being tortured by the Nuem…. Sickos….
@dangel might have a good point. This is a game, not a S’n’M fantasy. They might get some real life sickos looking at your stories and getting off on them
I fear i may have been taken too seriously 😛 My comment was a tongue in cheek statement aimed at Gavin to entice him into posting up the fiction bit. Naughty I know! Gavin expressed concerns about the end of the story because it’s quite graphic and made him feel a bit sick :p In my defense I was told to write something REALLY nasty, so I did! i justify the story because this is what I imagine the Nuem to be really like and more importantly in the real world there is no such thing as an Orcnar Nappa… Read more »
Can’t wait for these to arrive at my doorstep >< And seriously considering pledging for a Britanan starter as well to go with my one lone Arcanum Guard…
