It must be hard to sculpt a living statue out of stone. First off you can’t give it great detail like a real lion nor can you forget the stone texture. It’s a tightrope to walk on IMHA.
The only issue I have with it is I wish the curls in the main where more uniformed and defined. But thats just a small critique of a otherwise fine model.
@manpug – Nah, just use the early finecast casting processe that GW used. Pits, bubbles, grainy textures, no problem!
Something about the lips is off. It’s like the sculptor rolled out a string of putty and added it to give the edge of the mouth definition. To me, this is one of the marks of an inexperienced sculptor. Not meant as a put down, just an observation that the sculptor is still working on perfecting their craft.
yawn, very average. Sorry can’t get excited about these models.
