As you guys know we do our best here at Beasts of War to keep up to date with all the latest happenings in the world of wargaming. However there are just too many cool new mini's or army's coming out to keep up with! So we are introducing our new show, the Army Book/Codex Break Down series where the guys take a little time to have a look at what we missed out on.
Lets kick off with the Warriors of Chaos and their special rules. Hopefully this will start to give you the flavor of the followers of the Dark Gods! Stay tuned as we have a look at each section of this rather cool looking army.

Hell!!! It’s about time 🙂
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plz Plz let this be a full on Chaos warrior week!!!
Mark of Slaanesh classic comment from swampy – thought slaaneshi worshippers were used to take it in the face.
Nice breakdown, good video guys
All sounds good…I like the re-introduction of the pantheon restrictions of the chaos gods. A welcome end to the ‘chaos undecided armies’. Where multiple chaos gods were represented in the same unit! However, I am slightly cynical about the random gift of the gods chart. Having to pay a fortune to get the ‘right minatures’ to allow Daemon prince and Chaos Spawn, results seems like an obvious money grab to me… This alone could influence the WOC army to be the one army where the amount of cash the player spends on it determines how effective it is on the… Read more »
Recently picked up the Warriors of Chaos book, some really good stuff in there. The Slaughterbrute looks insane as it has four attacks at strength 7 which can essentially be given the weapon skill of the best hero in your army
Does that include anyone whose WS has been boosted by fencers’ blades?
(Are these even available to WoC?)
If so – blimey
Yep
Rather than buying a load of spawn models surely you could convert up a regular warrior with green stuff and the multitude of extra tentacles, claws and heads you’re going to have left over, provided it’s on the right base ofcourse.
And Daemon Princes shouldn’t all look the same either, spending an extra 55 dollars on the off chance you roll a double six is not in the spirit of the game!
You could only thing you would need would be the correct base size (as DP’s & spawn are on monster bases
Not you don’t need to buy loads of spawn and daemon princes you could use a token instead or make some spawn counters from spare parts and green stuff just mount it on a suitable base job done
vortigern. Every other company APART from GW would say use a spawn counter/ deamon prince counter , to denote the change in the champion. You MAY use an appropriate model if you wish. ONLY GW forbids the result to happen IN THE RULES AS WRITTEN.If you DO NOT HAVE THE APPROPRIATE MINATURE. This was the obvious money grab I was pointing out. The BoW team could have suggested using ‘counter’ instead of buying more models but they did not…(A missed opportunity IMO..) ‘Swampy’,(?)Seemed very enthusiastic about buying a Spawn and Deamon prince minature FOR EVERY CHAMPION in his army ‘Just… Read more »
No I’m not a GW employee but I would buy something to use AS a Daemon Prince never said it would be a GW Product or as suggested Convert things (my mind has already got some interesting things being muled over)
Good to see some fantasy video’s
Nice breakdown, good video guys
