Nice one guys. Really looking forward to getting my copy of the book (just the normal one) and having a proper look through it.
Looks like you could use the collectors edition as a real warhammer too…
I’ll be over a friends place tomorrow trying out the new rules. I can’t wait to get my own copy next week!
Great video and thank you for showing us the collectors edition book. I am grabbing my copy of the book tomorrow, and I am looking forward to getting started with 8th edition.
Warren, what type of matt are you using for the piece of field terrain that is in front of you?
@triplediamonds
Hi there it was a mat like this that was used for it:

@lloyd Thank you for the info. Keep up the great work on the site
Nice video, glad to see Darrell’s cynicism is still going strong 😉
The new book looks great and the collectors edition is immense! Pity they’re all sold out.
You should give that copy away as a competition prize, haha! 😉
Awesome stuff, can’t wait to see more BoW Fantasy coverage!
wow that thing is hudge im glad I just got the normal one. lol
In regards to the collector’s edition, doe’s the thickness of the parchment really make that big of a difference to the size of the book? Or is there more in the collector’s edition, that there is in the regular rule book?
its the same content but the parchment is very thick, really that’s what makes the book so heavy.
Great video guys! We are all really excited for launch day tomorrow, but I will be sure to be checking in on your coverage next week!
Can we take Darrell back into the studio and club him with a collectors edition, until he appreciates it as much as you? 😉
Loved how the first photo you flicked to (The Acropolis of Skulls) was one of mine! Nice work! 😉
great video guys. received my copy of the collectors edition already on tuesday and your right its an honourable book for the rules.
Nice video. Each time I see the Warhammer book I wonder if it might be time to get into fantasy.
I’m still waiting on someone to say that Ogre Kingdoms are competitive for me to dive in, I think. Otherwise, the model count just keeps scaring me away.
Great video guys! I have been wanting to get into Warhammer for a while now (am only into 40k at the moment) and with the launch of these new rules might just be a good time to do so.
Makes me sick 🙁 was going to order collectors edition if I got a new job after I interviewed couple of weeks ago.. I didn’t get it, so had to make do with the standard book. Ah well, it’s still a substantial and worthy tome.
Hey guys any chance you can drop a hint of your coverage for warhammer fantasy week coverage?
Im still currently only a 40k player but im looking forward to viewing your Fantasy coverage. Im interested in seeing the differences in the games as im told that very differnt.
Re: the size/price/function of the book debate; I think the key words are “collectors edition”. For collectors its an insanely epic book and will make an awsome parrt of a collection. I think if i was going to start getting into fantasy id start with small rule book thats bound to be present in the box set and leave that chunk of epic wargamer win to the hardcore for now!
The King of Cheese is on a roll again. this is going to be one hellofa week 😀
Having bought the collector’s edition I can safely say that it is as heavy as it looks. A word of advice, do not drop it on any appendage(a foot in my case). It hurts. A lot.
