Thats made a lot clear actualy. You get similar complications in 40k aswell.
Only ever had 2 games of fantasy and im loving it already!
Whats up with the What-looks-like-a-german-kriegs-marine on the board?
Some guys that play this game aren’t that smart! Classic Darrel.
It might have been a good idea to go into a little more detail with the more complex issues, such as double flank charge or flank and rear, multiple banners and such like.
Overall though, says what needed to be for the most basic of situations.
I agree…
Darrel give us more details!!
Just thought I’d point out that I don’t believe I need the extra help, but that others might do as there are still lots of multiple combat resolution occruances to make mention of.
Wait whats that thing in the background on that large base?
In 7th ed. the player would declare all his charges and the enemy player would react after. That changed in 8th ed. After the reaction has been made for charge 1 then charge 2 ect. Then when to move in your charges and how to position them to maximize. -In combat, when a challenge is declared, players still remove the challenges away from the unit and set it next to the unit to show who is fighting. -If a unit was on the flank and 1 in front and they both break, what unit will or can he pursuit? -If… Read more »
Actually, it was suggested that you move them to one side to make it easier to recognise. In the current edition, it says to move them into contact.

If you are in combat, you cannot charge. If you mean can a friendly unit then charge the enemy’s unit in the rear, then yes you can…
Multiple combat resolution Rule sucks Yesterday i had a Deathstar Unit attacking a chariot , and a unit of 20 skeletons in base contackt with that chariot also..then the skeletons gets attacked from the side by 2 other chariots doing amazingly 11 wounds.. The chariot in base contact with my deathstar unit had only 1 wound left, so all i can get from my death unit is +1 ! My Death star unit would never had been broken in hand to hand, but because they wernt in hand to hand with the 2 other chariots, i couldnt get anymore wounds… Read more »
Basically what happened was i killed everything in base to base, but because of multiple combat reolution i lost ? huh how can u loose when uve just killed everything in base to base ? well apparently this is the new rules so from now on ill just have ONE deathstar unit with NO backup units.. (sucks in my oppinion)..
hi jacobpdv… I’m trying to interpret the ‘no more foes’ rile on page 61 which states “…(sometimes)… at the end of a round of combat some units are no longer engaged with any enemy unit (…because they were completely destroyed). Such units are out of combat **for all purposes** and can move normally from then on.” It then says you count the wounds in the resolution but not any bonuses (standard, charges etc.) and it can’t out-rank another unit in steadfastness. To then say that this unit has to take a break test would be inconsistent with the fact its… Read more »
