Wargames Foundry Get Bigger and Badder

We've been looking over Wargames Foundry and found something that we just have to share with you guys. Check out the Giant Hill Trolls.
I think that these trolls look fantastic and that they would not look out of place in any fantasy wargame. I understand that some people might think them too cartoony for their tastes, but I can't help but love them. Especially the one throwing the goblin glider.
LMAO that one throwing the goblin glider like a paper plane is just awesome! And if you play Warhammer Fantasy you can’t complain about things looking “cartoony”! Just look at Storms of Magic!! 😛

Very reminiscent of the Citadel Trolls of the 1980’s! Which isn’t a bad thing.
I agree ! Cartoony, but rightly so. Not my cup of tea for painting, but I have to admit it really works !

On the painting front I find these quite hard, as I always struggle to get the effect I’m after on big areas of skin (regardless of what colour it might be). Simple models, but tricky to paint really well IMO.
Hmmm… We’ll have to do a tutorial on this !

They’ve got a “back in the Good Old Days” sort of feel about them that reminds me of the somewhat lighter and jollier vibe that GW products used to have. When I was over at the Foundry Open Day a couple of weeks back they’d converted some of these to be emerging from the water, and had a game with Trolls and Goblins coming out of the sea and attacking up a beach against Dwarfs in trenches. I love this trolls. Would look awesome on my brothers Orcs and Goblin army.
For something thats rather cartoony I think I’d piss my pants if I bumped into one down a dark alley even if it had a goofy smile 😛
