Video Game For Anima Tactics
October 26, 2011 by dracs
Fantasy Flight Games are bringing out a new video game based on the world of the RPG Anima: Beyond Fantasy. Announcing Anima: Ark of Sinners!
Come October 27th this will be available in America on for the Nintendo Wii via the online distribution channel WiiWare. Not sure when it will be available in Europe yet, but I cannot wait to see how it plays out.
In this game you will take on the role of Celia, one of Anima's iconic characters, as she tries to make her way through the ancient city of Ark.
Here's what Fantasy Flight have to say about the plot:
On the run from her former masters, Celia falls into an ancient metropolis known only as Ark.
Without any knowledge about how she got there or what links her to the empty city, Celia delves into its dark streets looking for her friend Nemo, only to discover that Ark is full of strange shadows and nightmarish creatures.
So are you ready to delve head first into the world of Anima: Tactics and Anima: Beyond Fantasy? Do you think that this looks like it could be a good game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Looks like Castlevania, only its sh!t and Wii is the worst console ( ive ever bought atleast).
Love AT so I want it to be good but not sure from the trailer if it is tbh
Haven’t got a Wii anyway so will spend the cash on minis instead lol
ok AT does not interest me, but the artwork of the game deserves somethign better than the Wii graphics shown in the trailer.
Over all that dosen’t look too bad. Besides grafics are not everything if game play, story, characters and other things like that are good.
It looks a little out dated as a side scroller. Also for the wii it’s just not gona get a big market of gamers.
I’m sorry but…
Have they even heard of 3rd person view ?

@elromanzo Have you ever heard about game called Castlevania Symphony of the Night on orginal PS. It was also side scroller but did that make it bad game. No it didn’t. In fact its classic. So maybe 3rd person view is not everything.
I cannot comment too much about the game based on a short trailer.
Not a console gamer either so my opinion carries even less weight.
But for me the AT universe evokes a sense of style and elegance,
The video was completely lacking in the characteristics of AT that I associate with the game.
I just think it’s retro and inappropriate, quite simplistic, especially considering what one could have done with the universe and art…
Is all.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks really good. I like the sidescrolling arcade look to it and suits the Wii control system well. The art style is beautiful and the game play looks fairly solid, from what we can see here. Having said this, its a damn shame it only on the Wii.
Wii graphics aside this looks like a title i would be tempted to try out.
Now if i can only find one of those limited edition Celia models i’ll be a happy man 🙂
It should make for a classic fun time. Though I dont see this pulling many outside people into the AT world.
I heard about this game a few months ago when it came out in Europe. I LOVE side scrolling platformers so the game has a lot of a appeal to me. I have heard very bad things about the controls though, I hope they have fixed those issues for future international releases.
I just want to point out that this is not a full separate game. It is available as a download and will only be about 6 hours long (in terms of pure gameplay at least).
Its more like the games you can buy on Xbox Arcade. In these the graphics aren’t always as good as full sized games, but a lot of them are still a lot of fun.
I remain hopefully optimistic.

I’ll give it a try. It is a bit odd they used a limited edition character as the game’s centerpiece. Here’s hoping they have a special edition Celia, so fans of the video game might be able to carry their experience over into wargaming.
I took like the side scroll~not for every game, but it can work well.
She has a normal model that isn’t limited edition.
the ltd ed is about 455566776% better though
Some of the sculpts are good but others are shocking including IMO Celia
The artwork is amazing
I think of a couple of reasons to play this game
Love the idea and the art for Anime is great in my opnion- the wii is not the best for GFX but it will be fun beating away with your arm whilst playing with Celia
oh dear, ill get me coat
