Unleash the Monsters and Magic of the Old World!
March 28, 2012 by brennon
Forge World have announced another new item today, this time with a Warhammer flavour. If you like your monsters, your magic and your fiery brimstone then check out this new tome!
Monstrous Arcanum unleashes 32 new monsters, binding scrolls, scenarios and all sorts of background information for the Old World. All the massive monsters you have seen from Warhammer Forge can now be used with full rules on the battlefield in Storms of Magic and beyond.
Some lavish artwork and writing has been put to good use in this book and it certainly looks the part as a magical tome ready for use by a budding wizard conquering the ancient might of dragons and beyond.
This seems like quite a collectors item as well as a great gaming aide to spice up your Warhammer experience. The question is, will you punt for this rather pricey bit of literature for your games or not? Suddenly the Old World looks a lot scarier!
What do you think of this newest Warhammer Forge book?

Those look very good.
The book looks stunning! But I think this was to be expected after the Tamurkhan book.
The art work is what I like the most. Some are just stunning.
i usually play 40k, but i started a whfb skaven army.
played once…
BUT Tamurkhan is a great book… and even if you dont play, its worth every euro i spend on it! awsome artwork, awsome design, pure awsomness!!!
if this will be the same quality Tamurkhan has, its going to be a really nice book.
yes, sometimes fw is a bit expensive, and yes, the castings of the models are sometimes not as good a they should be, but the book is great…
sorry 4 the double post… but it should be: and even if i dont play this game as often as i would lik to play…. aso ^^
Production value on this book just shouts quality. From the artwork to the snippets of fluff I have read, this hits the high standards mark for Forgeworld. Fantastic new releases already and just enough insight on up and coming creature kits from the sculpting studio team really whets ones appetite, When it comes to huge terrifying monstrosities, Warhammer generals will be spoilt for choice…
This looks great. If you watch the video off the FW website their is a list of all the monsters and which armies can either, use, summon or never use….
