Trading and Dwarven Might on The Uncharted Seas
May 10, 2012 by brennon
It's not just the worlds of Firestorm Armada and Dystopian Wars getting a raft of new models in the near future. The Uncharted Seas is getting some fantastic new models for both trading and blasting your opponents out of the water from Spartan Games.
First up is this fascinating Floating Trading Town. With such a vast expanse of water in The Uncharted Seas universe the multitude of races would see this as a great place to converge and sell their wares, or indeed the plundered cargo of sunken vessels.
But as we all know and indeed should know, Dwarves do everything better. Check out the renders and painted pieces of the Iron Dwarves Armoured Citadel...
As we can see (Dwarven bias alert...) this is a superior structure with plenty of guns and an armoured wall to take the brunt of any attack. My own Iron Dwarves battleship has still yet to be sunk and goes to show the stalwart building techniques of the bearded folk. In all seriousness though this is a fantastic little set for budding Dwarf players.
As well as the releases for Iron Dwarves there are two new pieces for both the Imperial Humans and Dragon Lords. The first is the Kingfisher Class Heavy Cruiser resplendent with patterned sails and a vast array of guns. Second is the Nogdra Dragon platforms of the Dragon Lords. These ferocious dragons have always dominated the skies of the Big Blue.
Will you be grabbing any of these Uncharted Seas goodies?

Gotta love how Spartan have given the seas terrain that isn’t just islands – the trading post reminds me of Waterworld, only much better 😉 and the dwarven citadel looks to be a truly impressive completely seaborne structure. These will be great for defensive scenario gaming and I’m looking forward to the other races getting versions of these, it really does a lot to set Spartan’s fantasy universe apart and keep it fresh.
Floating Trading Town is interesting idea. I am liking that Iron Dwarf Citadel a lot. Its very nice addition to naval based game. Over all Kingfisher is well detailed and in that picture its also well painted. Althought I love dragons I am not impressed by those Nogra Dragons.
That’s it, I give up. Spartan Games must be labeled the best company in the gameing world. They just keep coming out with coool things.
That massive dwarf structure is insanely cool. It reminds me of the old late 90’s pc game “Total Annihilation”. Spartan are fast becoming one of my favourite game companies.
