Tercio Creativo Preview New Enclave Terrain Piece
September 7, 2011 by dracs
Tercio Creativo have put up images of their latest work-in-progress, the Enclave Terrain piece.
Primarily of the Fantasy Skirmish game 1650, this piece is can be used in more than just fantasy games and will be a useful way to break up the battlefield.
I always wished to make a shanty town or a back ally market with little shacks and stands. This can fit into something like that.
…
well this is can be good for a shanty town, something i may pick up if its cheap
I’m sure Mordheim, Malifaux and other players will be finding fast usage of these, too! I know I will.
That looks like just two fingers holding up the building. So unless its just a sample that will be scaled up or it is supposed to be a dog house, its likely the wrong scale.
“congratulations, you are our 100,000th hut design.”
Popsickle sticks would clone that like at the blink of an eye.
I wouldn´t put it like that but in essence I agree.
Anyone should be able to build this in less than 30 minutes and for less than 2 pounds.
Also, judging from the fingers and the door, it looks as though the hut was way too small for 28mm.
This could be good for Freebooters Fate, if its 28mm..
Of course, it could be done using popsickle sticks… If you don’t mind loosing texture and other details.
If you mean testure of woodgrain, for the scale it doesn’t matter.
Looking at some wooden fencing maybe twenty yards away, a four foot post relates to 1 inch.
In 1/56 scale that would be nearly 6 foot.
Staining and weathering is far more prominent so some washes on lollipop sticks would do the trick.
* that should of course beaprox 5 foot in 1/56
Following that idea, hair, eyes and so wouldn’t need to be finely sculpted in miniatures ¬¬
Quite
Not suggesting that the textural details shouldn’t be there. Just that there is no real need to be overly concerned.
It is as usual a matter of personal preference.
Yeah, Chibi, I agree it’s a personal preference.
Balsa wood gives a great wooden texture that looks good at that scale and it’s pretty cheap for something this size, better than popsickle sticks in my opinion. I reckon judging by the size of that door it could be used by Gretchin in a 40k.
