What Technology is Titan Forge Teasing?

Titan Forge have put out some sketches to tease us with. Just what manner of miniatures could they be building?
Now from the design of these teasers my guess is that we could be seeing some steampunk toting of a rather short and bearded nature. Given the intricacies of these designs it is safe to say that Titan Forge have some cool ideas they are working on. It will be interesting to see what they finally come out with.
Am I right with my guess of dwarfs, or do you have any other ideas of what these could mean?
