Studio 38 New Alkemy Greens
August 5, 2011 by dracs
Studio 38 have put up some Work- in-Progress pictures of models for their Alkemy range on facebook.
These sculpts are really interesting. I am especially intrigued by the creature in the first image and cannot wait to see these guys when they are done.
But if you cannot wait to get your hands on some new Alkemy equipment then do not fear for the Studio 38 have already put forth a selection of new releases for you.
I have to say that I really like some of these minis and think I'm considering picking up one or two myself. Quite apart from Alkemy, they could definitelyfind a use in other games such as Hell Dorado.
What's your thoughts on these models? Do any of you think you might pick up an Alkemy set?
Love the odd swamp/mutant giant – very very cool.
I just got into this as the place I picked up the starter set was selling them cheap. At first I was put off at the thought of thin resin polearms (they snap off easy) but the resin they us is super flexable, no breaking parts is always good. Im glad to see the range is growing.
A word of caution : they stopped using that kind of resin ! The old Kraken boxes are that way, but the newer Studio 38 miniatures are the “usual” type of resin, less flexible.
They’re awesome, though !

I’ll keep that in mind for the future. I can still get most of the Kraken boxes for a good price.
It’s a great range and a great game too. I actually got some of the new Studio 38 Alkemy figures this morning from La Belle France, and have spent the last hour trying to get a photograph for my blog (quirkworthy.com) that does them justice. They are incredibly detailed and all of that detail is crisp and well defined. Cracking pieces.
Traded away my Khali starter a little after the game got discontinued and have quite regret it. The game is cool and the minis are a beautiful example of the European “boutique” miniatures.
When the game got discontinued by the original Kraken studios, that is … but the future looks bright.
Think this is the first have heard of Studio 38 so thanks for the tip off.
They look a very interesting and well sculpted range of figures
Studio 38 available form ludik Bazaar. I have all the Kraken plastic Alkemy stuff (thanks to sale by miniature market). The minis are really good and the game is pretty cool.
I just picked up the entire line of stuff that Miniature Market was selling. They are fantastic minis and the game play is excellent. I watched the game for a couple of years but just didn’t have the cash or the players to pick it up. When I saw it going for that price I just coudn’t say no!
Really impressed and kind of wished I had supported the game earlier. I’m excited to see it continue and wil be supporting it from here on in.
