Start Funding Ingra Studios And Get A War-Punk Gnome!
March 7, 2013 by brennon
You might remember a few weeks ago we showed our support for Igra Miniatures Studio. They are a small company trying to start up on IndieGoGo and in an effort to boost support they are offering another miniature...
This Gnome Necromancer comes with a gnarled staff and a bunch of pouches and bags which contain his magical ingredients. The other miniature they are offering is a Familiar to accompany him.
A neat addition to the selection of miniatures being offered by Ingra and it would be great to see this company kick off through crowd funding.
What do you think?
No thanks.
What miniatures would you like to see made that may not be available right now?
Although it probably sucks when you have a ton of ideas you want to put into production, I think it’s.. hmm.. always a safer bet to make more mainstream minis to begin with to help get you off the ground before developing a more unique range.
Thank you @syigess, I appreciate your input. I’ve put the Gnome out there as a way of showing that I can create some new things as well as traditional minis like the cyberpunk character.
Thank you very much Beasts of War for putting my story up here. I really appreciate it, It means a lot to me.
I think some sort of strange animal or alien/monsters are always a good bet. As you can let your imagination run wild and people always need baddies to shoot in the face. 🙂
Good idea! I think I’ll start planning a monster/villain. Thanks.
Looks pretty damn good to me!! A unique and dramatic miniature with bags of narrative potential, pretty happy with that. He’d really add a ‘fresh’ touch to an undead battle line.
The cyberpunk solo totally rocks also. Looking forward to what else Igra serves up…
Looks good and expressive !
Good intuitions from the sculptor so far… At least I think so.
Thank you @acidcat616 and @elromanozo !

@hellbeard The level of sculpting is good imho and was impressed with the first two sculpts. The quality is still clear to see with the gnome, but I think the modern battle fatigues with traditional staff, mage hat and shield looks confusing. The idea of the mage in the setting is intriguing especially a gnome. But usually mages don’t carry shields, and I would probably think more about hoods rather than pointy wizard hats. In fact I would think a mage gnome in some sort of chem/bio hazard suit with goggles would fit better, be unique and pretty darn cool.… Read more »
Thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. I know there’s a thing about wizards and armor, but I thought it was a cool way to mix things up a bit. I really like your bio-hazard/hood idea! That’s going on my list of character to populate this setting. I hope it takes off too.
Thank you very much.
I don’t have the budget at the moment but I do like the look and ideas that your coming out with.
Thank you @manpug, That means a lot to me. I really appreciate it.
If you still want to see the studio get in the fast lane you can always share it with people you think might be interested. You can follow on the blog or other social media and keep updated when things start to happen.

Or watch this space, Beasts of War has been really amazingly inspiring awesome with their support of such a humble novice.
Beasts of War is great for that.
The only thing I don’t get about it is the shield.
It’s a separate part so you can assemble him without it.
I’m really curious why the shield seems out of place to you.
In D&D for example, wizards use daggers but Gandalf had a bad ass two handed sword(Glamdring).
Others with better knowledge may have to correct me but AFAIK Wizards can’t carry shields in D&D and are not usually allowed armour.
In D&D the shield would stop him casting.
