i must have these, it seems mantic can do no wrong with their undead range i already have a 2000 point vampire counts army with all mantic mini’s, these will be a good adition and a reason to move up to 3000 points.

Yeah but are they made of Finecast? Everyone knows Finecast is the future man!!! lol. If the GW want big hoard games then they should have gone the way of Mantic I 100% agree.

Hmm, I’m not sure of the ins and outs of Fantasy gaming to be honest, but I have seen a lot of complaints about the Blood Knights , which have gone up to rediculous prices in the recent GW furore, these look like they could be good proxies for that (a head swap maybe? Not sure), at significantly less than £50 a box. Clever move if I have that right. Lets be honest here Ronnie Renton and Mantic have a very clear business model and that’s producing cheap models that can ‘double’ if you so choose for an equivalent in the GW’s range. Its not a stupid idea, in fact its a smart one. Me personally, I’m betting on a grim dark future game with orcs and space elves and maybe even some genetically engineered humans.

Models look amazing!
I am yet to really see anything that Mantic do that impress me at all.
Everything looks silly and cartoonish, the rulset they put out was truly pathetic.
Now, Reaper, they put out some amazing miniatures! same with Privateer Press!
I suppose mantic have an appeal if you want some bog standard miniatures to bulk out an army
must admit i really only like their undead range. ive never like dwarfs ever no matter who makes them elves are ok but id rather have the forest elf and there orcs dont appeal to me at all but i do like the little snotling like models who are on the spures
You get what you paid for though. They’re ok/good models for the most part. They really try their best to give you a good deal. Some of their models are pretty good, but for the most part they’re standard miniatures, at really cheap prices. If you give them the right paint-job they do move up several leagues I’ve noticed. They are also good for conversations + they really do listen to the fans. I’ve seen posters on their website actually influence the final sculpt of the model.
As I don’t like most Mantic models, I wish them all the best. If they continue going the way they are going at the moment they might develop pretty fast and eventually WILL make models I might like. Competition is always a good thing for an industry and Mantis is doing a fine job, by being reasonably priced.
Oh man BoW, i would love to see you guys just sit down and interview Ronnie.
Seriously, i love the interviews and would love to see more of them. Infinity week was amazing simply because you guys interviewed the creators.
So i say sit down, chat with Ronnie, and let the man make his announcement.
Hell, BoW should do a Ronnie week.

While there is no love lost here for GW there is something else you could do for us besides producing a fantastic model which is totally top shelf.
We do miss Darrell of the BoW team…
Could you reach out to him with a few rule books ETC…
To bring him over to our side so He starts producing videos again
Hopefully -Maybe give Him the scoop on your New leaked Sci-Fantasy, that is coming out!!!

I really like the Mantic mini’s. Getting into them in a BIG way indeed. As for doubling up for WHFB mini’s….whats wrong with that? I dont have a problem with GW games, just the way they run the ‘Corparation’ 🙂
