Sneak Peak at the Vaettir Huntawalu
July 25, 2011 by beerogre
Standing astride the battlefield, this massive release for Relics from Tor Gaming is the Vaettir Huntawalu.
Mounted on on a 50mm base, you can see the summoning and attacking versions, just right for slaughtering the annoying puppets of King Jorjie.

Looks like that arena monster that Obi and Anakin fight in ‘Attack of the Clones’. I like it. Another great mini to do a ‘Death World’ themed 40k board with.
Not very impressed by this. There’s really little detail in the surfaces of the model. Looks quite amateur. The head looks hastily thrown together without a concept.
Its not bad, I don’t play the game so see no use for it as of yet. For all I know it might be key to that army of imp things.
I like this fig- enough detail to be worth a paintbrush but not insane amounts to drive you mad. Id prefer more head options however. Attaching it to the base might be fun with three small contact points but it looks balanced so hopefully not a major pain.
The Vaettir and Britanans are the best models with those little dolls being the best of all IMO
I love the sculpt. It is true that there is not much detail on the miniature itself, but is it really necessary? For a gamers point of view it is plentiful, as for the most of the time you will see the miniature from one meter distance.
For me the Nuem are the best models so far 🙂
Not sure of the base size. Am guessing 40mm. but could be 30mm
From base to the top of the head is roughly the diameter of the base.
There is not a lot of mass/surface area given the size of the sculpt.
There is enough texture given the skinny nature of the model
The race of Vaetteir don’t need a lot of extraneous accessories afaik
The sculpt fits with the rest of the race which is more important imho
Meant also to say that with Trebor am a tad concerned about pining to the base
There is only one shot (2nd photo) The Attacking Huntawalu sculpt I like even more than the spellcaster
Tired eyes missed the 50mm base size
apologies to all
