Scibor Travel Back to the Fantasy Realms
June 21, 2012 by brennon
Scibor have had a lot of Sci-Fi miniature release of late but now they are back to the workbench and are coming up with some new Fantasy models. Check out the Work-in-Progress Models below...
So we have a Witch Hunter, a Captain or other commanding office and a miniature that could double as a Warrior Priest. Out of the three I think the Warrior Priest is my favourite simply because he's had to have specialist armour made to accommodate his bulk!
All would be great stand-in models for Empire forces in Warhammer or other Fantasy human armies. They would even be good generals in a Historical setting perhaps?
Which is your favourite?

I like the look of these guys
I am defenetly liking how these are turning out.
I really, really like these. It’s quite funny that these Warhammer Empire alternatives are more “Warhammer” in their mood and feel, than GW’s official grim dark, skulls and sh*t, models. These have that character reminiscent of old Citadel and Rackham models. I’ll definately get these for when they’re released.
Being that they are still WIP I find this is a good direction for the models Scibor are making. I like the pose of the commander guy. It gives that Rackham feel as @netdiver mentioned.
It’s good to see Scibor branch out, I’ll be keeping an eye on these for sure.
More proof (along with the minotaurs, gobbos and dwarves) that Scibor is at his best when not doing Spess Mahreens – there’s a slight lack of ornamentation on the armoured figures ATM but they all fit that ‘high fantasy’ look very well and have great facial character. A little more filligree on the witch hunter’s sword guard and perhaps some more lion/eagle imagery on that armour and I think they’ll look cracking.
