Mold line removal is so important. It’s great to see a tutorial going into detail on this often-neglected step. I read somewhere that a mold line on a painted miniature is like a beautiful woman with a booger hanging out of her nose.
The placement of the lines seems to have been chosen much much better here than on the warjacks.

Eh,
Booger or no booger just hand her a napkin then ask her if she wants to get busy only after buying her some Taco Bell and a ticket to the discount dollar movie house 🙂
you can’t wipe away the shame of a mold line!
I SO agree.
Mold lines just scream “lazy”, and ruin any paint job.

There are a lot of modellers out there that should watch this. Definately time well spent, apart from removing unsightly lines it gives you time to cotemplate how your going to approach painting the model.
Nice tutorial
For all my years of painting it’s just within the past year that I started cleaning mold lines. I find it’s now a needed factor in ones model making.
Great job! I like the attention to detail and comments on the miniature quality.
