New Releases From Reaper
July 19, 2011 by dracs
Reaper Miniatures have two rather nice new releases in store for us.
First to creep onto the scene is the Astral Crawler.
While this little guy is a welcome addition to the Reaper range it is this guy which really steals the show.
Say hi to Boerogg Blackrime, Frost Giant Jarl of Icingstead.
I'm rather impressed with this guy, the level of detail is really nice and I think he would make a welcome addition to anyone's collection... or what about this sci-fi heroine!
What do you guys think of these guys? Would you be tempted to part with your hard earned cash for one? What uses can you think of for them?
That Frost Giant looks pretty awesome. Always a fan of something Nordic lol
ME WANTS FROST GIANT ;O
The frost giant is stunning. I like the alien too tho to be fair. Be a great “death world” gaming board hazard!
The frost giant is also made of resin, which is making it hella expensive ($26 usd) but so far no reports of failcast issues
It would be an easy 50 bucks otherwise. Twenty-six bucks for a massive character is hardly “hella expensive”. Try checking ReaperminiTV on youtube, the latest episode shows the scale of it nicely.

A trooper giant is between 16-20 bucks, big and in metal: if they can do the same models in resin for 12-15 bucks, they’ll sell a super-ton. Reaper usually prices proportional to cost. Also, their P65 line has been… Read more »
I’m actually in the process of ordering the frost giant at the moment. Been looking forward to this miniature for a long time now.
The alien looks good. Just enough Nid-looking to slip under GW’s radar
Looks like a zergling from starcraft 2 🙂 🙂 🙂
Reaper, if you’re listening: I’d buy a dozen packs of metal almost-zerglings.
