Puppets War Come Up With A Neat Basing Solution!
July 23, 2013 by brennon
Puppets War have created some new Base Sets for you with an interesting way of putting them together on the tabletop. Check out the quadropus technique below...
As you can see the system allows you to put together a series of bases using those small plastic connectors. This then can be spaced out or bunched together allowing you to regiment up units.
This is a nice way around the magnetisation that you'd usually have to do and with massed regiments in games like Warhammer Fantasy you could save yourself a lot of headache.
Does this look like a neat solution to you?

That look like a great base system will jave to try then out now
Thats a pretty good idea as I personally like to base my models individually so I can use them for skirmish games as well. The downside has always been the amount of time it takes to deploy in larger games.
Not sure this will be the solution for me. Just wondering how long it will take to join all those bases together. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who takes these up.
I’m not 100% sure if it’s less faff than magnets but it’s very clever nonetheless.
Would love to see this on a circle base, maybe let you put a connector in ever 45 degrees?
Ta Da!!!.. Perfect. I love it. wait a sec……….. ok, it’s on my to get list! 🙂
That’s pretty cool. I can see it being used to store minis too. I know a few people that use metal boxes and magnets to store them but I think “LEGO” style bases and a box with built in connectors would work well too. You’d have to have less connections than lego though so you can easily pull the mini off without pulling the mini away from the base though… In fact, getting metal miniatures to stay securely glued to those bases could be difficult because you have not a lot of free space underneath to drill the…. base attaching….thing….… Read more »
