Print & Play with Into the Fray?
February 8, 2012 by brennon
Check out this new Print & Play skirmish game that just got released only through the power of the internet. Into the Fray from Moss Games looks pretty interesting...
Into the Fray follows your factions struggle against others to uncover the lost secrets of the world of Gateway. Everything you need is printable from the online store and requires little more than some cutting materials and glue to get it going.
The Core Rules are available here for free to get you started. And there are faction packs on sale, each with taster documents so you can see if its something you would be interested in.
With the rising cost of wargaming, is this a great alternative?
Lots of sytems offer their rules for free or at least quick start rules. The access to free rules is one of the reasons Im getting into Infinity. Contrary to this being the alternative, it looks set to become the norm
The Print & Play feature is more what I was referring too in terms of an alternative. Whereas with other games you use proxy models or miniatures, the ease of just printing off your warband and going with it from where is something pretty great.
I mean we have seen it for board games/card games in the past, but this is one of the more interesting ones doing it with Miniature war gaming on a skirmish scale.

I hope they do sell minis for those of us that wish to go past the paper cut outs.
