PK PRO Release Etched Brass Ghost Gate
October 4, 2011 by beerogre
The guys at PK Pro have announced the release of a new etched brass kit called... The Ghost Gate!
This makes a change from the usual etched brass plants, signs and lettering we're used too. Perhaps this is the vanguard for a whole new range of etched brass kits?
Here's hoping!
That would look great on a Malifaux graveyard or as an entry onto the grounds of an orphanage … a Neverborn orphanage, that is! 🙂
Anyone mind explaining how does ‘etch brass’ product work?
It presents itself as a thin plaque of etched brass. You cut out the piece you want, and obtain a thin piece or scenery sufficiently rigid to be bent and stay in shape. It’s about as flexible as metal wire, and as thick as card. You can, of course, paint it.
It isn’t supposed to be used as a stencil, but it could conceivably be done.
I hope this answers your question !

So with a little work, you could actually make a shadow of the gates on the ground first and then the actual doors! Wicked!
Bit to cartoony for my needs
Not used PK etch, am only familiar with the aftermarket PE detail sets for scale modelling.
Some are made from brass which is quite soft and flexible so I assume thses are more like the stiffer steel etch sets for a bit of extra robustness?
Hey Folks,
great thanks for the news and all your coments!
The gate was a idea of Sirneo, the second person behind Aetztech.
He did this work for his own, but we decidet to sell it in a highly limited number.
There are only 25 of these gates available!
Greetings
Felix
