Perseus Slays Medusa with Morland Studios

Another great project miniature from Morland Studios in the form of Perseus and Medusa. Check out their great looking resin sculpt below...
A great model depicting a great scene from the world of Myth and Legend. It's a departure from the current line of models from Morland Studios but I think you will agree its a superb model to pick up and test your painting skills on. After all you have to somehow paint a reflective mirror shield!
The model also stands at 32mm.
Will you brave this model and the deadly Kraken in the waters?
Thats very detailed sculpt. Pose is also very good. Althought I am wondering are those markings on his shoulder part of sculpt becouse its hard to tell from unpainted version.
That’s like a mini diorama of its own. Great sculpt as well.
Another great looking model from the skilled hands of Sebastian Archer. The thing I like the most is how so much has been packed into just one model as a whole mini-diorama. You have the Kraken rising from the waters rather than being a whole other expensive model but it still has a lurking menace being hidden by the sea sculpting. The armour and snake hair details have been well-realised too, very impressive work.
Love the art work. Medusa looks like Thatcher who turned an entire nation to stone with her gaze.
That model is just plain awesome!

Most of Johnson’s artwork fits well with the general Morland theme of “generic skinny fantasy chick,” but as this Perseus painting shows, he can diversify quite well. If this particular miniature sells well, perhaps Johnson’s Julius Caesar, Beowulf, King… Read more »
