I love it when we get full breakdowns of books like this… especially since Ogres is my primary army. Keep up the good work..
oh yea.. you forgot to do Big Names in your magic item reviews. I’d love to hear the your thoughts Mawseeker. +1 Toughness and Stupidity.
I think you guys made an error in skimming the number 6 spell. It hits targets whether they pass or fail the Initiative test. If you fail, it just hits very hard.
About the Hellheart – You may want to see this:

Very nice, effectively the amount of vids mean you’ve done an ogres week really enjoyed it. Have to say there appears to be less cheese in the recent fantasy books to my eyes: Orcs, tomb kings and ogres they seem alright. An alternative strategy to get people to like fantasy? Perhaps, but often I think its cheese that attracts people unfortunately.
Trust me, you are underestimating the Dragonhide Banner. It is an absolutely incredible item even without the breathweapon that makes opponents unit strike last in combat. With that, i would say it is one of the best magic items in the whole game.
I am running the Banner on unit of 3 mournfangs and they just slaughter anything they touch and 2+ save with rerolling 1s? That makes your opponents cry.
The Greedy fist has great potential on a Tyrant. +3 attack blade, greedy fist for 100pts. You’ve got a Tyrant with 8 Strength 6 attacks.
The rod that wounds you is pretty laughable. But when your mages regen wounds when they cast it has more potential with Ogres than it does with other armies. IMO.
The “forbidden rod”, used with a LotM Slaughtermaster, has great synergy!
The “dragonhide banner”, and the “hellheart”, for the win!!!!
A vid breakdown of the “big names”, would just be a waste. There’s no improvements from the previous armybook.
Throw the “wall crusher” on your tyrant. What more do you want? ;D
Seems all the 8th armybooks will be going the same route … A few expensive magic items, forcing players to use the ones in the WHRB.
Everyone having cookie-cutter characters is just lame of GW.
