Mantic’s James Hewitt Takes a Look Inside the LOKA Box
November 20, 2013 by dracs
With the Tarot of LOKA currently up on Kickstarter Mantic's James Hewitt has decided that now is a good time to take a Loka inside the box of the fantasy chess game.
If you haven't come across it before, LOKA is a fantasy chess game from Alessio Cavatore's design company River Horse Games and available from the Mantic store.
While usable as a traditional chess set, LOKA is a game in its own right with factions of chess pieces based around each of the four elements of fire, earth, water and wind.
James gives us a detailed unboxing of the full game over on the Mantic Blog, showing off each of the cool components which the elemental chess set contains.
However, the most best part is that James has a couple of tips for those of you whose LOKA miniatures might have been knocked about a bit on their way from the Kickstarter. Apparently there have been a number of people who have had bits of their minis bent by the journey. But never fear for James (and a cup of warm water) are here!
If you want to know more about the LOKA set, be sure to check out James' unboxing at the Mantic Blog.

Looking forward to this one arriving with all the KS goodies as well should be an awesome set. Will start off using it for regular chess then play around with adding in some of the LOKA rules 🙂
Will the Lokka rules be available in a rulebook by themselves any time? I already have so many chess sets that I’m not short on pieces or boards.
