A Lumbering Battle Engine for the Forces of Skorne
March 23, 2012 by brennon
Check out this red behemoth coming out for the forces of Skorne in Privateer Presses' Hordes. This is one hell of a massive beast!
Sporting great big guns atop the howdah, a place to strike down from, as well as a the living siege engine beneath them the Siege Animantarax should prove an awesome addition to a Skorne side.
Will you be buying this massive Skorne Battle Engine?
That looks very nice.
That’s epic.
This looks so big the base looks small the model.
I like the flowing lines of the armour shell up to the gun and that angular Skorne ‘runework’, though the rear platform looks a bit more like an afterthought because of that. The ankylosaurian tail hammer is a nice touch too.
In short – I like giant siege turtles… 😉

I’m sorry, I really don’t like it. I think it looks silly…
I didn’t like the art either.
I usually like the Skorne designs, but this just looks like a cumbersome half-turtle…

I like this alot! I think the shape flows really well with lots of lovely curves and I like the segmentation of the main body plate/shell as that make painting it a few colours easier for the likes of myself.
I’m seriously thinking of getting some Skorne Warbeasts and mixing them in with Wargames Factory Samurai to create a cool fantasy army. So something like this siege engine would be great for a centre piece.

I’m not normally negative but this is easily the worst looking model PP has ever produced. It’s a shame that Skorne, who have some of the nicest looking models in my opinion, are stuck with such a static-posed poorly designed and executed model.
