Level The Guns And Fire Some Hot Dwarven Lead!

Avatars of War are continuing the relentless march of the Dwarfs with this preview of their new Thunder Warriors. It's about time the Dwarfs got themselves some guns to fire!
As you can see the box will come with twenty figures creating a smaller or larger unit with all the different options we've come to expect from Avatars of War.
I am rather giddy about these and I'm seriously considering making an entirely separate army for Warhammer using only Avatars of War components. I wonder if I'd use my Games Workshop one again!
Seriously fun miniatures with plenty of character.

I like Avatar’s Dwarves except they are knuckle scrappers which puts me off. Still better than my Skull Pass Thunderers by a long chalk. OK that isn’t hard to pull off, but I think these would be better to paint Oh good grief, now even dwarves have the dangly thing between their legs! It is worse for them cos they only have little legs and are sure to trip over the damned useless piece of cloth. Why do designers have to follow fashions? Looking at a lot of the kids with trousers around their knees these days, I think The Big Issue is a fashion magazine! Apparently it originates from an American jail to suggest that they are for rent, if you get my meaning. :S I like a few of the sculpts within the regiment, however a fair few of them look as though all the detail merges into the detail around it. Is it just me, the arms and gun position look really odd. There are ways around this type of issue. Such as having them at the ready or marching with gun slung over one shoulder. Just a thought.
No you are correct, unless Dwarves intentionally fire with the butt in the crook of their arms.
But who am I to talk? I don’t know my arse from my elbow either.
i love all dwarfs made by AOW, they have character, look cool, and a better then the GW ones.
Realy nice is the sitting position of the first rank.
They really look darker than GW.
These wouldn’t look out of place next to the FW Chaos Dwarfs.
You’re right, although I don’t mind seeing them a bit… “mean”, they are after all out there to kill. I like them, what I do not like is that they too have become a company which is only out there to make money, their prices are up there with GW although they said they’ll change their plastic production process with something cheaper. Really >not< the way to go…
